Clippers won because they played 8 games to close out the season without Kawhi, so everyone was comfortable in their role before the playoffs. This is why I'm so confident in their chances with or without Kawhi. Great win. Pray Kawhi returns and makes this a clear-cut series victory.
I honestly think with or without kl we comfortable. We need him to get the ring but this teams is full of players who can start on a team in the nba. Not jus start put up numbers if they the main guy. I love this team. They have a chance to win it all they jus have to lock in. I'm not saying we gone 4-0 any team but if we can lock in and stay healthy we can win it all. Every team in the playoffs can't say that. Even though lineups are short in the playoffs. We still the deepest team in the playoffs.
Yes. Even if he isn't able to score at will like it usually does. He's still one of the best defensive players around. And this game shows how defense can win games
If his knee won’t hold he should stay out. Looks more and more like putting pressure on that knee in order to get him ready to play had the opposite effect, it swelled some more. Seems also that KL needs to keep the weight off that knee to give it a chance to get better, so trying to play not good for him nor the Clippers. Dudes and dudettes, KL needs both knees to be healthy to play defense, do you expect him to hop on one leg chasing opponents and jump on one leg to contest shots?
I think the Clips knew that Kawhi won't be ready for Game 1, but cleverly they are not gonna reveal that until game time so Dallas can have that in the back of their minds. I won't be surprised if Kawhi doesn't play Game 2 if he's not ready. If Dallas bigs cannot contain Zubac on the post and Harden and PG continues to play aggressive, Clips will be fine!
Game two is huge....The Clippers can establish a 2-0 lead or allow The Mavericks to possibly gain a 3-1 advantage(assuming they hold home court) Win game two at all costs!
Game 2 gonna be a movie. Huge confidence booster for Amir. I still think it goes 1-1, but the key here is that clippers have been playing without kawhi for a good min now. Everyone knows their role. Gonna be the best series out of the first round. Clips in 6🥱🔥🚨
I want to see how consistent the clippers are on the next game. They always have an inconsistent play on the regular season, i hope they will take it seriously on playoffs.
I hate to say it, but when Kawhi gets back put him on minutes restriction so hes available all post-season (if we win this series). Its tough for me to just think hes gonna be available and slot right back in.
Luka fan here, we played like shit today. Decent 2nd half from Luka and Ky. But our front court looked like children out there. It was almost as if everyone but Kyrie expected the clippers to lay down. I still saw some positives in the second half. This is going to 6 or 7. Let's not act like it's over after one.

Clippers is more deeper team than mavs they have guy that can put up points on every given night they just have to play defensively and play hard get the rebounds and go ofther every loose ball
