Ty Lue was under contract so am not sure if he had to full fill, it or if it's kind of like a player options, like Lue could had told the Clippers he quits and that it's, not sure how that works. I figured Ty Lue would sign the extension because there going into a new arena and the Clippers have showed in the past, they will pay out big money and probably had the blessing of the big stars on the team and I doubt Lue wanted to leave LA. Long as Clippers are halfway decent and with the injuries every year, so far I doubt they would just fire Lue.

That's tough. For the clippers I don't blame them. It's hard to come by a great coach. But if I'm Ty Lue I'm leaving. The players that Clippers are keeping. Are never available when it matters so how can you possible get a chip. So if Ty Lue want to stay cause LA, and the money I can understand that, I can see Ty lue winning in a place like coaching OKC, Boston if they lose again, Bucks, and maybe back to Cleveland.

These salary numbers are why I don’t have sympathy for coaches who get fired, even after winning a title. The more money you make, the more expectations you have, and the more costly the consequences of not succeeding. We all seem to be perfectly okay that players play by these rules but want to cry foul when coaches get the hammer. I’m glad Coach Lue got paid. When these coaches get fired, they get every dime they are owed so keep uppping the market cause championship or bust is a standard that has been applying for more and more franchises.
