Great song. "The Stairs" is similar and love it as much as this one. Crowded House (Don't Dream it's Over/Something so Strong/Weather With You) and Midnight Oil (Dreamworld, Beds are Burning, King of the Mountain, Blue Sky Mining) would be great to feature.
A fan of Aussie 🇦🇺 bands I see! Just love the whole music vibe down under. Artist like Icehouse, Jimmy Barnes, Crowded House/Split Enz, Pseudo Echo & Savage Garden are so great. Did see Midnight Oil in the states around like 1987? 🤘🏻
I'm so glad I was lucky enough to catch them live on the "Kick" Tour, with Guns n Roses (!), amazing band live and on record. They definitely could still be doing it if only Michael Hutchence's inner-demons hadn't brought him down.😔

Best ballad ever!!!! Love that Ty loved it. Thanks Dad! Seems like a simple song to sing, however it is deceptively hard. Many have covered it, only a few have done so well. Loved how you described how their legacy has been frozen in time.
I think Ty is finally getting over himself, Ha & enjoying the 80’s vibe & mojo of some amazing bands like INXS. Can’t wait to introduce him to some other retro ballads like “never tear us apart” !

Jon Farriss is a god-tier drummer. He is also very charismatic. He and Michael were two sides of the same coin in term of vibrance. Michael was sultry, sexy and overpowering, Jon was cool, goofy, fun.
Someone point you to the Wembley concerts please, live in 1991. Australian artists had to be able to play live gigs back in the day to make it, and INXS are no exception. By the way, you know Michael is the lead singer, but the sax is played by Kirk Pingilly, Tim Farriss on lead guitar, Jon Farriss on Drums and Andrew Farriss on Piano, and Garry Gary Beers on Bass. They were my favourite band as a teenager from The Listen Like Thieves album. Then I discovered Jimmy Barnes as a 17 year old and later found Cold Chisel. I still absolutely love INXS, but Chisel are my number 1 band.
Just rewatching this again and when you say you never got to see them live it's such a shame, I saw them live 5 times and are always amazing. I recommend one night you sit Ty down and watch the Wembley concert in full together, the 4k restoration version. The musicianship and Michael's voice and interaction with the band and the control of the audience (all 73k of them) is just a spectacle.
