Chris Isaacson presents rockstar TY TAYLOR (CBS' Rockstar INXS, frontman for raw soul band Vintage Trouble) in "MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI" celebrating the music of Louis Armstrong, Prince and ELVIS PRESLEY. In this video, Mr. Taylor sings Elvis Presley's #1 hit "SUSPICIOUS MINDS" (written by Mark James) with Music Direction by Todd Schroeder and the Upright Cabaret band (Matt Lucich, Aron Forbes, Carter Wallace, Dave Bass, Backing Vocals: Von Smith, Todd Schroeder). 'MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI' is a part of 'Upright Cabaret's American Icon Series' and was filmed LIVE at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks, CA on Jan 15, 2011. Ty Taylor has an amazing voice and stage presence. I'm saddened he hasn't broken out. Music is missing out by not recognizing this voice.

I saw them last year (2014) at a tiny venue in Indianapolis Indiana. It was the best live show I have EVER seen! They rocked the place off its foundation! I even got to dance with Ty!!!!!

Just found this beautiful singer! My mom's favorite Elvis song (may she rest in peace). Both her & I shared a passion for music and this man just made my soul come alive for the first time since my mom passed. My kinda singer. Fantastic voice & energy. Thank you!!!!!

I had a dream.....about a week after first hearing this version of Elvis' ever classic "Suspicious Minds"...i saw him....i saw Elvis, himself !!!As Vintage Trouble was playing this song , I looked up and I saw him , i saw Elvis... he had a smile across his face as he squinted one eye, and he had his thumb up, big big thumb (almost cartoon like) held way up high and the vision remained in sight until Vintage Trouble finished playing the song, and then he was gone, Elvis had left the building, just like that...

It was never the King's song, so he has no right to approve or disapprove. The original singer was Dee Dee Warwick. She should be the one doing the approving. May she rest in peace.

***** No. Mark James, who wrote the song released the original recording of this song and it failed to chart. With James' encouragement, Elvis then recorded it in 1969, followed by Dee Dee Warwick in 1970. Elvis had the biggest success with it, and his version charted the highest of all versions (#1).

Dee Dee Wawwick did an amazing job with this song as well, but Elvis made it his. Powerful song that comes from the heart and soul. Ty Taylor might not be everybody's "cup of tea but his vocals and stage presence are astounding.

I don´t care less if Ty mention Elvis or not,first & foremost it´s about the writers he spoke about second point just because you belong to one Race doesn´t mean automatically what you´ve to say is the Truth.
