Tye Tribbett recently visited Praise 103.9's "Afternoon Angel" CeCe McGhee in Philadelphia during Matrimony Monday, and they had a very candid conversation about his past infidelity. "I keep it real not for gossip's sake, but for the gospel's sake," he says.
Tribbett talks about how his actions hurt his wife and children and how his marriage is doing now. In addition, he reveals what drew him away from his marriage, his upbringing, why he stayed away from the public spotlight for so long, and the suicidal thoughts he experienced as a result of his actions. I agree!! The Bible is very clear about adultery and marriage. He doesn’t necessarily ‘allow’ us to sin, but as humans we surely have free will that so many of us take advantage of. Yes, God will forgive and even restore relationships, but I don’t think in his vision for our lives he plans for us to sin especially in ways that will hurt others.

Yes we weren’t given the Holyghost to keep doing stupid things. God is against Adultery period. Davids adultery affected him the rest of his life even tho God put the sin away. But one thing about it you can’t hold it against anyone when they repent. But serve God for real and that means true obedience to the Word .....

"Allow" here means, not stopping us, which we know He very often does keep us from falling in our lives, through his grace. But sometimes He seems to say, 'now you do it your own way, let us see how far you'd go...'

@@oludolapoadewale5260 , Present day...It will be 11 years in July that I have been divorced. I never remarried. Not because I still love my Ex-wife, but because the Bible forbids Remarriage after Divorce if your original spouse is still alive for any reason. The "One Flesh Union" can only be broken through death (Romans 7:1-3). The Lord removed her out of my heart about a year before she remarried, which was 4 years after our divorce. So, I pleased say there is life after divorce. Serving the Most High with my calling to ministry is my #1 priority. To God be the Glory for the things she has done.

My sister said yesterday, "God is not in the mind changing business" "He gives us free will". And I replied, "But He is is hte heart changing business..." I commend Tye for being so transparent even conceerning his marriage. that is SO PERSONAL. I wouldn't talk about that, but Tye is because it's healing the hearts of the people who looked up to him. Awesome testimony, I love it. Im so happy that he has been restored, his wife, and family has been restored. This helps anybody who is in it or trying to come out of their sinful state. Bottom line...any of us could fall into a situation like this. People sin (fornicate, cheat, lie, steal, gossip, murder etc.) everyday, but it's harder when ur in the public eye. I believe Tye is remorseful and is insightful in how his infidelity started. Sin is a choice and unfortunately he chose the wrong thing, but I still love his music and ministry. His testimony will bless many.

one thing that people need to realize, is when you are preaching and coming at a certain type of sin, that the enemy tries to attack you with that particular sin, so that your human self can trip and fall to it, and then the enemy can make you out to be a hypocrite. "Let he who is with out sin cast the first stone......" John 8:7 We all fall short. We all have a thorn in our flesh. Music artists, pastors, church members, parents, single people, youth ...etc... anyone. No one is immune to sin. Sin doesn't favor anyone. Not even Jesus disciples were immune to sin. Yet He still choose them. He still chooses us today. Why? Cause the Bible says. " Love conquers a multitude on sins!" 1 Peter 4:8. His love conquers, His love covers, His love cancels, His love sets free, His love delivers .....anything&everything. His love for us is greater any sin we could or already have committed. Hallelujah. Thank You Jesus for what You did on that cross. For that perfect example of love that you expressed.

I am called to start a group for married couples seeking divorce, marital issues, or seeking to be married. To also help anyone who's been through this with a big brother in Christ program. I also know that I am called to ministry through music. Find your calling, and serve God. He's not saying that God allowed him to go through a period of cheating as if it was God's will for it to happen. God will block certain things when they are harmful, but if God never allowed him to fall then he would've never known there was a problem, which caused him to work to fix the problem, and then turn around and tell others about how the recovery process was. God did not allow his marriage to be torn apart... and the repair work God did, on not only Tye and his wife, but also on those of us who need to hear this testimony, is truly the love of God. All along God had a way of escape and allowed him to overcome a deep weakness in his own character and personality.

@@RenewedMindschannel It definitely was not God's will for him to cheat and in the same vein it was not God's will for Tye to cheat to know he had a problem. He didn't need Tye to cheat to speak to him and correct him, He's faithful and His sheep hear His voice. God is always protecting us and always calling us into his will but if I go out of my free will and put my nether regions in someone who is not my wife I can't turn around and say God allowed it happen. That's shifting blame. He turns the evil into Good and that's why there can be a testimony but to say he allowed it is like saying God would have forced Tye not to cheat. With love there is always freedom. Also, as men of God there's always temptation but scripture tells us that God always makes a way out. He just have to choose to take it, Tye didn't. The marriage could have been healed without him cheating and that would have been a testimony too. We should never blame God for the sin in any way or form.

It's so awesome to see people, especially famous people, openly give their testimony. As the Word says and as Tye said, "[we] overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony." It's inspring to me since I struggled with a different type of sexual sin but still it was still based on disobedience and lust. Minister Tye tribute testimony "I am glad that I was afflicted so that I may learn your statues" (David) being broken and being in that place really gave him an opp. To just sit down somewhere and get right with God, allowing God to work it out overtime We overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony! (Which validates us) He uses the story of the Prodigals son in the bible to illustrate his own redemptive and restorative miracle that God did in his marriage He sums it up by saying God took him and placed him not where he should have been but where he would've been had he never went astray... So to God be the glory!!! Takeaway: perhaps God is trying to remind the people of the church to not focus or fix are eyes upon ministers, preachers, pastors etc. but to fix/set our eyes on things above (Jesus) b/c if we put our faith /trust in man as we've seen, they fall short as we all do... But thank God for Jesus!!!!

i dont know about everybody else but what light shines from this brother is what i need in my life the spirit of God ,shining throught the truth , will set you free and changing and taking a look at mistakes is what we need to do to heal and i was so touch by his truthfullness , We need this Lord,thank you for using him to server a highter purpose ,Thanks for youtubing this ,thanks ty for not hiding behind the sin but exposing it for the better Cause which is to gloify God Amen

This is a very important interview because the world needs to know that Christians are not perfect, but we serve a God who is perfect and even though we are not perfect and sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us and restore us! God bless you Tye!

Thank you, this is something that we as believes need to hear to grow strong. All fallen short of his glory, but his MERCY...... and his GRACE, thank you Lord!!!!! We need to know that even with having a calling on your life, we still have to "go through to get to" growing in grace...... This is how we stand strong or (Stand Up) in the body of Christ. :-)

him to make them ready for what he wants to do in the earth, HALLELUJAH!! the bible says that no evil can dwell in the lords presence. Some people take this as a condemning verse (ministers included) but this is NOT a condemning verse but a LIFE GIVING one. the closer you draw to God the more the evil things that are on you will break off of you. I can do all things THROUGH christ who STRENGTHENS me!

a whole new respect for this man of God! More respect for his wife that she can see thru Satan's tactics and love her true man of God that JESUS still does love! I am so happy that he admitted and he changed because Ephesians 6:12 we do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES in heavenly realms. PROVERBS 12:22 lying lips are an ABOMINATION to the Lord. He confessed and God restored him and his wife! I am so happy that this man is transparent, people often forget that even though we love JESUS as the son of the living God we are human and will make human mistakes, hopefully not adultery but It is not far from a demonic spirit that cares about nothing the Lords creation or marriage! stay strong brother in CHRIST you are restored and please don't allow a situation or demons in this world to break you but allow the holy SPIRIT to show that we are in fact strong enough and we are more than conquerors!!!

Churches where music becomes the show where the band, MC, and musicians are exalted above the pastor and the Word of God, will sometimes lead to arrogance in the music minister and the body. The balance between the Gospel and music is off-kilter, and it can lead to the minister feeling like he is the show. The church is for him. Not saying that churches like his are wrong, but if you perpetuate that atmosphere of flashiness in aspects of your ministry, you bound to mis-step. Its unblalanced.

LOVE IT!!! The transparency of this man is WONDERFULLY refreshing. Especially in the face of men (and women) of God falling like dominals, I can truly respect those who take FULL responsabilty and accountabilty w/ a repentent heart towards God first, and then to their families, and the body of Christ. Definitely helpful, any time a testimony is shared it is a blessing, the things God has done for you aren't for you to hold in but to tell the World, it seems people take the time out to watch these videos just to bad mouth or talk down about them, don't become a follower of the artist as much as the word of God being brought forth, the better your relationship with God the better you can hear exactly what he has for you no matter who what when where or how it is being presented.
