I have not seen material labeled simply "poly-pro" since the mid 1970's. Surely you wouldn't date yourself back that far! You need to live forever for the rest of us!!!

As usual, a really informative video. Sulphurs are common here right now, so an excellent choice to add to the box. I'm always impressed by the ease with which you demonstrate techniques - tying in a parachute-style fly is not a simple process for many of us, but you set a fine example for what is possible. I also appreciate that you explain your reasoning as well as the method - not only how to do a certain technique, but why you choose that design - for flotation or visibility or whatever - and your frugal, ecologically sensible use of materials. You are a real assett to the community of tyers.

The body construction on this Sulfur is marvelous & can easily be used for any parachute by changing material color. Except for the dubbing & post area, very little of the body is tied directly on the hook. Very neat & efficient. I wonder if this same method would work for construction of a much more extended body mayfly. Thank you for sharing this. Good stuff!

So happy I watched when you posted the first one of these patterns. I was smart enough to see the simplicity, speed at which they could be tied, and due to your posted video of you on the water with it, I filled an entire box with them and they have been very productive for me this year. Thank you sooooo much for that one Davie!

Some of these were coming off down my local water a couple of days ago and I had nothing that would represent it , I guess I'll know for next time . Nice fly.

Fantastic! Of course my stinking job will mean I have missed the Sulfur Hatch again this year Sulfurs are the big one here in West Virginia USA. I had already experimented with this tie using ginger CDL for the tail/body. Your's looks better tied. lol. Still messing around with a Rusty Spinner version of this, like your DH Gnat without much success but I know there's a pattern there I just have'nt found it yet.
