Had great success with this pattern when fishing on South Uist this year, substituted the hackle and the wing for material that was a golden olive colour as didn't have all the materials that were used in the original that Davie used in the video. I always have this in my fly box. 👍

Great looking little wet fly mate. That would be a killer for our golden trout over here. Thanks again my friend for sharing another great video with us all. Have a great day. Best Regards, Ken

Great fly, I really fish Olive more than any other hue of green. Golden olive with that sparkle is very effective than any wet fly color for me. Thanks Davie!!!

Thanks Davie, another lovely tutorial. A totally unrelated question. Have you heard of a salmon pattern called "The Usk Grub"? I know you're inundated with requests, but if you have the time and inclination, I'd love to see your interpretation of this fly, maybe tied on double. Best Stuart

Hi Stuart, I have tyed an Usk Grub in the past but it's been a while, I do have a few requests but I'll certainly keep your fly in mind...I'm glad you liked the Golden Olive pattern.. All the very best Davie...
