Thanks Davie, beautiful tutorials, the part I find the hardest is the deer hair! Happy Hogmanay. I am looking forward to February when the browns start their run up our rivers. One more years fishing, please!

Interesting pattern Davie! I find myself more watching HOW you are tying than what you are tying - you are a true master of your materials - thank you for sharing your techniques! ATB and have a Merry Christmas!

Hank, There was a reply, years ago now, saying to Davie, "You always say the same things!" I always listen because there are things said that are not 'the same', but when I'm watching to learn a particular fly, I watch Davie's hands... over and over again... a lot of times without the sound, if I'm having problems. Hi great fly as usual. You make it look so easy.anychance you can show which tools you use like you did with vice n bobbin holders esspecially the scissors? Ps your videos taught me how to tie and now all my flies catch!

Lovely fly, any chance you could invent an organza wing spider for the new season, have loads to use up😂. Keep up the vids, brilliant as always.

Thank you, Davie, for all the wonderful videos you have created over the years. Your library of videos has provided a wealth of information for the budding tyer or any tyer wishing to know how to ty any fly. For myself, I am getting back into tying after a 25 year gap. I have forgotten a lot techniques and “rules” and one question I would like to ask is, when tying in a hackle, is their a guide line one uses as to when to tie in the hackle by the tip or the butt? Thanks again for sharing your expertise and knowledge. Jim Williams in South Carolina

Hi Jim, It's great to hear that you are getting back to tying after a few years away from it..The normal rule is that you tye in the cock hackle by the butt and the hen in by the tip but if the feather is easier to tye in by the opposite way or if the colour or fibre is better then you do what you like and feel that would make tying the fly much easier as this is what I do..Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes.. All the vey best Davie..

Great looking little fly mate. The Brooke’s would kill for that one. Could you go any smaller with that one? Merry Christmas and happy New Years to you and your family. Thanks for sharing with us all. Best Regards, Ken 🍺🍺
