The cut scene at the whip finish is to remove all the swearing that goes on while trying to get the hair out of the way of the knot. Clean fly.

Thanks Davie,fished these several times but never knew just how to tye them,very simple yet clear instructions,love fish'n these with a small (16-18) nymph trailer,thanks again.

Absolutely brilliant! I can't believe I haven't seen this one before! You always do a fantastic job anyway, so although it isn't hard for me to be utterly impressed by your work, having seen some of the patterns you don't show here. The collector's flies etc.. I have never seen someone do a muddler head so quickly. Do you have a favorite type of fly to tye? Is it on here? All the best as always Davie, hope you get more chance to fish than I do just now. Dear Davie, If you tie in a piece of foam and segment in and dubb the bottom and segment the foam would it float better and be a good hopper or cicada pattern?
