Excellent tutorial. People may be wondering why he served the cord in versus using the provided clamp. It may be necessary to use this method when there are clearance issues using the provided clamp. Such as a down cable that may be very close to the string stop rod which may cause the clamp to hit the rod upon release causing the timing issues at the rest. Or in my case the QAD HDX clamp was hitting my Tight Spot quiver.
Great vid. One point of feedback; when walking through the backserving knot, really get that camera in there for a clear shot of the serving configuration and slow it down. It's very easy to bugger it up as a beginner. Otherwise, I'm assuming this part is down AFTER finding the centre shot of the fork first??
If the bow has adjustable draw weight you might get away with temporarily dropping the weight down to the point that the cables have no tension. Otherwise you need a bow press to take the tension off manually
Yeah I have a cable clamp and it's ugly and gets in the way. Trying to learn how to tie it in cuz it's better in nearly every way. So do you not need to tie a knot below the cable as well?
Nope, I don't even insert the cord into my string. I just lay it alongside the sting and tie in it. Like this: (it is a solid hold) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eFlMzQ9A2rg.html
