This is an amazing attracting pattern, meaning it is not meant to imitate any of the natural insects in the water. Tie them anywhere from sizes 10-20... I like them in sizes 14 most. You should definitely tie this one!
I run it under an indicator. Typically i will have a double nymphing rig going on and try to have a flashier nymph/scud along with a more natural color nymph. Works very well
