This little caddis pattern comes to us from our good friend Rich Artusy. You can’t get much simpler than this fly, but we are pretty positive that’s exactly why it’s so effective.

The talking is the best part! The talking, wheather you realize it or not, is the incite of a true giant in the sport. There is nothing else like what you're doing on this channel. Don't stop talking and sharing all the wisdom. Anybody can just tie em.

Kelly Would really like to see a video of your streamer fishing techniques for 2020 and beyond. I’m sure you have numerous previous videos but if you are out in the Madison or any river you can show a newby too streamer fishing it would be much appreciated. Can you do a series where you tie flies that are really popular but easy to tie? So caddis nymph/dry Mayfly nymph/dry Stonefly nymph/dry And a streamer that is easy and works, but you did the wooly bugger so something else?

i just tied up some the other night and tested them today down by the lake by my house i got 4 in 1 hr i tried and ant and elk hair before with no luck

Get a 2.3 mm bead for a size 16

That is as quick as any of the current green rock worms (caddis larva) that I tie. I am pretty much a minimalist when it comes to fly tying, less is more! I don't feel bad losing a 2 min fly as I would a bug that took an hour and a half to construct.
