@@IndigenousExotical True the difference is mum of Beyoncé is of a long line of FRENCH CREOLES that assimilated into USA culture with distant native blood while for Tyla her dad is Mauritian FRENCH CREOLE they have a different culture and most still speak French + I think half of the country has INDIAN heritage = most can name their Indian relative + location in Asia. I'm not sure if all CREOLES in USA know which native tribe they belong to or if they participate in ameri-indian culture and are welcomed but I know from my Mauritian friends they don't fight about % of black + Indian coz you are still creole and are expected to embrace both bloodlines.... I never will understand the obsession of being only 1 thing when a DNA test can prove nobody is pure blood / ethnic group
@@rachellebrown333 As for Louisiana Creoles who have American Indian heritage, it depends. Some of us have Chitimacha Indian heritage (like myself). Others may have Choctaw, Tunica-Biloxi, Coushatta, Natchez, Caddo, Houma, or Atakapa heritage. And it depends on how we are welcomed & if we embrace our Native American heritage.
If she were Marilyn Monroe, they would have thought she was being feminine and sexy for struggling to hold the award. And her kindly asking someone to hold it would have been feminine and classy.
They don’t know what’s it’s like to be confident themselves that’s why lol. You think a little highly of yourself and insecure people call you a narcissist.
@@reccyre i saw one of them call it “passive narcissism” and he proceeded to describe how her asking for help triggered his inferiority complex 😭 when i commented on how insane his comment was he started saying people needed to read between the lines to clock her passive narcissism ☠️⚰️ i can’t make this up
@@reccyre they absolutely are. they’re just in denial about it and the fact that there’s so many of them makes them comfortable saying the weirdest things about this situation ⚰️☠️
But no one came for Olivia Rodrigo when she asked someone to hold her VMA award. Tyla has consistently asked for help holding heavy awards (billboard award). People will find ANY reason to hate Tyla because she is a gorgeous, Exotic successful young woman. People also bring up Ayra Starr and Tems when the discussion is on Tyla. Ayra and Tems are INCREDIBLE artists in their own right and do not deserve to be brought up in spite or comparison to Tyla.
Also have you noticed that a lot of her haters are also white women it’s also black people in general but usually white people don’t get involved with issues like this but since a lot of white men have said she’s gorgeous or they’ll like to meet her they feel like their “position” is being took also it’s been a while since a women of color has been this huge as a pop star especially one that’s mixed with black
They projected their insecurity and called her an uppity African cause they can’t stand confident, exotical, and/or African pretty girls. And Tyla ticks off all 3 of the marks 🥰
@@carol-annlennards8183I understand this RU-vidr using that word as her brand, but people using it to describe themselves and others in real life is very cringey
She's so cute, tiny, polite, and feminine. That's definitely going to make her the target for jealous people to scrutinize her every move. It's so exhausting. The haters make themselves look ridiculous.
Poor Tyla is realizing the hell that exoticals in America have to go through for being unapologetically mixed, bubbly, and worst of all pretty and confident. Ever since she said she was not black but coloured/mixed, so many black Americans have been trying to cancel her. I’ve definitely had the Tyla treatment many times over. Example: One time I was simply walking and couldn’t see someone far away and she called me a diva for not seeing her and for my confident walk. After so many years of these remarks even from my own family, I felt like I had to shrink myself but now as I’m getting into my later 20s I say NO MORE!!
@@kellya1274 it’s crazy how us just existing triggers them that bad. it’s honestly concerning how relentless for no damn reason at that. kudos to you for being unapologetically yourself despite having these haters try to break your confidence down! 💕🫶🏽
@@divinebeaute how relentless they are behaving is validating my experience so well. I thought I was paranoid and being dramatic but now that I see the hate Tyla is getting for doing basically nothing, I can say that no I wasn’t the problem just being me.
@@Janet_________ yeah I’m living for me now even that means separating myself more away from the black community. Those insecure ideologies are so rampant here. You can’t be feminine, confident, mixed, skinny, and pretty without getting so much unnecessary hate and micromanaging
The hate train against Tyla is the most deranged thing I’ve witness. She literally does nothing but be pretty. At least with others MLS women, they could always try to weaponize problematic things they said to try to cancel them but this is just… madness.
They are jealous of her! She looks so kind and has a petite frame. If you are being logical, she looks like she actually cannot hold that weight. It looks solid and heavy.
@@qay7586she cooked food from scratch and insecure folks read that as ‘so you think you’re better than me?! 😡’ 😂 not that she needed to explain, but she shared why she started because of her auto immune disease. Processed foods broke her skin out badly.
Lol Nara smith triggers jealous women in general the amount of white women I see making fun of Nara and yelling that she’s fake and setting unrealistic standards but those same women support ballerina farm
I love when Exoticals get labeled as uppity & stuck up for simply being feminine. Its wrong for exoticals to exercise their feminity & ask for help.... But theres a whole movement of uabw preaching & teaching how to be more feminine?. Plus im glad Halle & Tyla didnt play into the divisive tactics.
Facts. Most of us will admit when UABW/BM have told us on first impressions how stuck up they assumed we were before getting to know us. At least that's my reality.
I am an older white women and I loveeeee your channel! at my age I still have pretty privilege and I see it everywhere. I had pretty privileged, lost pretty privilege and got it back!!! believe me It’s a lot of fun And over 60 size 4 look 40 take care of yourself and you will always have pretty privilege!
I blame Kendrick for all of this foreigner talk … it already existed but he magnified it. We are going to see the long term consequences of the song not like us trust
I was so embarrassed by the responses to TYLA from the black community. This is a young woman who was raised by a loving family of artists and creatives (Spotify did an interview with her family in SA. Look it up please). She asked for help politely and didn’t come off as stuck up or anything. She’s a sweet girl. Love that she updated her Twitter bio to “entitled uppity African” 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol and the crazy thing is Rihanna early off in her career was a ACTUAL mean girl. Coming at other women over a man or just in general throwing shade. She was still doing this up until a few years ago. The black community loves Rihanna but Tyla is supposedly mean and stuck up. While Tyla has always spoken good about other women and hasn’t been in any “beef” with another artist.
After all this backlash from MONO BLK GIRLS are we surprised that Tyla calls herself MIXED? COLOURED = almost the same as Blackish in USA but they (coloured folk) have their own identity etc Those who are Zulu accept that there are diffences between themselves, we should take note of what local S.Africans are telling us incl discussions on ethnicity
I remember when people were trying to say she had the body of a little Indian boy on a certain forum. These people are unbelievable. She is thin, but still has curves. The BC is so toxic. Everybody don't wanna be "thick."
Exactly, when you look at close up pictures of her holding it-it literally looks like she’s struggling and it looks very heavy. Tyla deserves better🤦🏾♀️
They hate that she is feminine, mixed race, beautiful, talented, skinny, and liked and acknowledged for all those things. They constantly compare her to ayra and tems but these women are incredibly beautiful and talented as well. They don’t support these women with anything positive or they only bring them up when it’s time to talk about colorism which is so belittling and exhausting because it constantly keeps their image as a victim of something negative. Like literally the only time I see some darkskin talented female singer in the news or on my timelines is when black women want to compare them to a lightskin black or mixed woman and that boils over in less than a week. They hate their own image and skin color and so that’s why they constantly try and attach our image to theirs. You would think its because their isn’t enough feminine uabw actresses or singers so that’s why they try to do that but that’s actually not the case. There are plenty of feminine uabw actresses and singers it’s that they don’t support them because deep, and I do mean deep down they don’t really like these women because of how they look or what their fellow black women represent so all they do is complain about how “mixed or lightskin women are replacing us” but will go back and support other races and exoticals over their own image and blame them for them doing that? And there is nothing wrong with supporting other race women but it is healthy to support people who look like you first as well. They always say tyla is cancelled or the “downfall of tyla” because the black community doesn’t want to listen to her music anymore I guess but really? What downfall? Tyla has already marketed herself towards other countries and continents such as South America, east Asia (South Korea, Thailand, and Japan) India, africa etc. Tyla is big now. Another exotical Megan did the same thing when the black community tried to cancel her over a little dusty that shot her and so in response to that she decided to market herself to Japan and South Korea and we see how that’s going ❤. All this hate that tyla is getting from them is nothing but pure jealously and they wish that they were her and that she represented them but people know the difference 💛
They wanted to pull a Rihanna on her and live vicariously through the “foreign” mixed girl which is why they were mad that she identifies as colored and not exclusively black. So now that they can’t claim her, she’s called an “entitled or uppity African” to keep her in her place 🤦🏽♀️
It’s crazy bc it’s a whole country thing, it’s not a misused offensive term, there’s long history about it and they all know it. she’s a South African artist, she was still relatively famous in South Africa prior to becoming more known world wide, I get people not knowing about it but to complain after she provided further context (which she absolutely didn’t have to do) is wild
Has anyone seen the TikTok videos where people assumed that Tyla was asking Halle Bailey to hold her award, when she was actually asking Lil Nas X for help? It's interesting to notice how Halle is being pulled back into blackness by the same people who previously claimed she wasn't 'black enough' to play a role in The Color Purple.
They're upset at Brandy for suggesting that Halle would be a good pick to play her in a biopic. She's too light skin but any other day she's just brown skinned.
When Steven Spielberg directed color purple he made Nettie and Celie the same color. But when a uabw (Oprah) directed it, she made Nettie lighter. Interesting.... Also Squeak is supposed to be a fair skinned biracial!! It's part of her story. But they changed her to be a uabw. Yet, we didn't call them out.
The jealousy is ASTOUNDING!!!! I don't see anything wrong with what poor Tyla did. She was well-mannered while explaining the reason behind her request. So what's the problem now??? This girl can't catch a break...SMDH
Eu always speaking the truth what you said about the comparison to other Lightskin women or non-black women as a humbling tactic is so true I’ve had an ambiguous black man tell me that I’m not no Beyoncé when I rejected him LMAO it wasn’t the diss he thought it was😂
Omg I can't believe that they are saying something about that. She was really trying to be respectful. She is slim and petite. She didnt want to put in on the floor.
I’m a completely unambiguous dark skinned black woman. And you right sis. You right. 🤷🏾♀️ Also, no shade to Rhi Rhi but Tyla sings circles around her. 😂 That’s just my opinion.
Tyla isn't relatable to some UABW and Hallie, though lighter than them, has type 4 hair and dreads and is relatable so they side with her because she's more Black leaning. They hate anyone they can never look like even with a wig.
@@InAllHerGlory Never said 4C hair and dreads weren't gorgeous. I'm speaking in terms of relatability politics and why they hate Tyla. You're reaching and I said what I said.
I didnt even know Tyla was getting this much hate until this channel. I think it mainly comes from the black community. I come from the Korean community and we LOVE her. She has inspired NUMEROUS kpop artists with her water dance, and she recently made cute shorts with the group BabyMonster!
When you’re young, beautiful, confident and successful, you’re going to attract haters, unfortunately. I just hope she has a strong support system around her because these people are really out here being demonic.
As some one from another country, the lack of understanding of Black or mixed identity elsewhere is alarming. The American perspective of racism is very annoying. Always trying to spark diaspora wars.
Great video! Tyla seems like such a sweet person and gets so much hate. It's sad that people can't just focus on themselves and instead waste so much of their time and energy on hating and trying to pull others down. Instead of raising their level they try to drag others down to theirs.
Thank you for this page. I'm a Dark skinned woman, and it's nice to see things from a different lens. I've learned a lot and realized that ppl need safe spaces like this because ppl can be cruel. Nothing was wrong with her asking if someone could hold the award. I feel she was overwhelmed with excitement and nervous energy. Tyla is an outstanding artist, and I enjoy watching her perform. I wish her the best in her career! Keep preaching truth!
The BC never speaks on talent. At then end of the day that’s all that matters. You can’t cry about “representation” b/c she isn’t black or even American. People tried using Tyla to push a cultural agenda and now want to discard her b/c she didn’t work in their favor. They were mad and critiquing her when she didn’t speak on the breakfast club. Now that she’s speaking for herself, they despise her confidence. This conversation is madness and I’m tired of these ppl thinking they can control everyone but themselves.
It’s def obsession, yes you nailed it. It’s totally a magnifying glass of scrutiny. They just wait in the cracks and crevices to watch you stumble on anything. She wasn’t shading Halle. The black community loves drama, gossip and negativity. The collective is noticeably increasing the bullying of exoticals…
it’s ridiculous how many times she had to make a statement defending herself which I’d rather she not and just let these fools argue with their ancestors BUT it does put into perspective just how often THAT community will reach for anything to make her look like a horrible person. it’s one thing to call her an industry plant but it’s a whole OTHER thing to call her racist. it’s seriously getting weird now
The heat against tyla is so unnecessary because if she was unambiguous they would be praising her and say “as she should”. they are so hell-bent on obsessing over exoticals instead supporting women of their own phenotype. Instead of uplifting Doechii who is really talented btw they would rather have discourse on tyla being “uppity”.. They will continue to give attention to mixed people and then complain when we get the spotlight. Mind you I seen a video of another perspective and she was looking at Lil Nas NOT Halle.
Exactly. They hate africans and their own heritage 🤣but then whine all the time about racism. Make it make sense. No wonder other groups don't take bp seriously.
I listen to your commentary and am always astounded by how much sense you have. I find myself chuckling throughout the videos bc you echo so many of my inner thoughts 🥰
I was waiting on this ! Ugh - So many woman hating on her hair, her outfit , her femininity really because why did she have to hold the heavy trophy 🏆 while giving a speech when others are standing around hands free 🤷🏽♀️
And weren’t They all pouring water over their shoulders dancing to “ Water” ? It was a viral sensation so Tyla winning an award should be no shock . I believe the shade came after she didn’t claim Blackness .
@@Islandgirl7000they’re definitely never letting that one go. that’s why they’re so pressed at her just existing. they feel entitled to proximity to her through her racial identity. no other multiracial/exotical celebrity has been humbled over absolutely nothing like this.
@@janomesteve3129because it wasn’t a term used colloquially it’s used officially on government documents even, due to the history. South Africa’s of all races were shocked at the reaction
Tyla has what is considered a coloured accent, a lot of South Africans speak this way. Also she has Indian ancestry in her direct family so if she sometimes speaks with phrases or words in an Indian accent she probably picked it up from family LAWD
I don’t understand why my people said that Tyla seen Halle as “The Help” when she said “can someone please hold my award?”. She asked nicely and wasn’t even rude. That just means my people see themselves as “The Help” because why was that the problem? She wasn’t rude, belittling, or whatever. Like UABW view themselves below ABW because at this point they make everything a big deal. Tyla, please don’t let anyone take your shine away. I’m embarrassed for my people at this point. We have to do better. Never seen Tyla been outright rude or felt like she was on top of other people. Like come on now.
@@kevinsbiscuitsnjelly8193 you’re the exact people mentioned in this video who keep micromanaging and policing her behavior in social settings. the fact that she isn’t allowed to ask for help to carry something that is too heavy but has to find some creative way around something this trivial shows how high of a pedestal you guys put her on. if you don’t do a little dance right next to your award that is too heavy for you to carry you’re entitled??? do you guys even hear yourselves😭😭😭😭

@@Carenbrooks-vw6nc Why would she place an award at her feet? She asked them to hold it and they didn't have a problem. They even came out and said it. You just want to make a problem out of nothing and that's very weird.
I always hear about those awards being heavy, she was so respectful about it and Halle (another MLS woman too lol) had no problems with holding it for a few seconds. It’s insane how triggered people get over pretty women existing.
They even tried to pit two exoticals against each other (Tyla and Halle) smh… How pathetic, Halle isn’t weird and insecure like everyone who’s hating, they perceived it from a place of inferiority then projected it onto Halle
@@beavertheteaser Though she and her sister both look unambiguous, I think because of their light skin, nice bodies, wealth, talent they may experience bullying from darker skin women.
I didn’t get that vibe from her. She seems nervous and like a cutesy fun person. Especially when the camera caught her dancing. That was so funny to me 🤭
On lipstick alley they said that Tyla was masculinizing Halle, a black woman. They said if tyla says she’s not strong enough to carry the trophy 🏆 what makes her think Halle can carry it when she’s a woman as well.
5:00 thank you for mentioning Tyla may have medical issues. This same rule applies to chubby/fat people - you don't know what medical issues people have!!! Obesity or being underweight is not as simple as over-eating or under-eating!!!!!
Halle is MLS as well so she wasn't offended. Uabw be searching high and low for offense. I'm glad Halle didn't take the bait and get offended. She knows they could easily turn on her too, but having a dusty baby daddy kinda protects her. Its hard to explain. But they are far more accepting of MLS women with baggage or weight issues.
@@Chingchinglotto I think partially, because it’s so much easier to “humble” her if she steps out of their line. DDG is dusty, so now they can use that “you’re just another MLS baby mama” “she just another baby mama” “she got the same black man” they pull out their ass. It’s much more hurtful to them if she doesn’t have any baggage once she says something that upsets them

Pleasee the amount of disrespect I’ve gotten from AA these past couple of days as been outregous they are jealous of this woman all bc she said she’s coloured not BLACK
Tbh. I didn’t get the criticism until a creator broke it down and pretty much said it’s not proper etiquette to ask fellow celebrities to hold your award. Which I get especially in that industry! However instead of it being a teaching moment people are using it as the typical “Aha I knew I didn’t like her she’s not the sh!t that she thinks she is” 🙄 as the do with pretty girls. They’re excited to point out a “flaw”.
That poor girl probably hadn’t eaten all day and didn’t have the strength to hold that thing lol. I thought it was cute 🤷🏻♀️ I feel like I’d do the same thing if I needed to.
I am amazed at the hostility Tyla gets for no reason at all, I mean, if you really do care this Tyla`s capacity to hold things, why not being concerned about her health, but this hostility tells me once again, that it is just some internal crazy feelings of their own, that these angry people are projecting to Tyla. Thanks for the video!
Tyla is very talented and beautiful. Why be upset? She deserves that award and if it's too heavy and you want someone to hold it why not? Edit: I didn't see her disrespect Hailey her hair didn't get in the way to me. People are always humbling someone for no reason

Now people can stfu about seeing both sides to the Ice Spice debacle or vehemently defending Cleotrapa. There is no winning with some of these people because Tyla literally did nothing and got the Ice Spice treatment
Great talking points Exoticals United! I'm a new gal who found this channel and I'll say this us Black Americans need to stop with the inferiority complex with foreign people whther they are black or non-black passing or not. Stop the victim narrative! My ancestors were slaves but I won't pull the slavery analogies on Tyla cause its 2024 and her behavor has nothing to do with slavery/aparteid. WTH like most of us have never lived thru either slavery or aparteid and its giving major inferiority complex. Tyla is beuatiful and has every right to celebrate her accomplishments and these crab in the barrel haters need to keep race out of this! That award was heavy AF and I'm skinny I'd ask for help too! Stop dragging our ancestors grievenances on this young girl its disgusting. The hate is pure jealousy at this point and weaponizing colorism, texturism and feautrism are all at play here!
As a black American, I agree. I've been a Tyla fan since she had 60,000 subscribers and the unnecessary backlash she's received, and on behalf of people's ignorance and insecurities and historical trauma is comedic.
I’m so annoyed by this. I honestly can’t imagine how Tyla feels. I really hope she is being protected by the people around her from all of this backlash. This is too much for one person. If I were famous (which I’m glad I’m not), I wouldn’t even read comments anywhere about me, I wouldn’t even be on social media. I’d do everything to protect my mental health. I don’t know what they want from her. Maybe it would make them feel better if she was more timid. I am also African, petite, wear my hair big/curly, with the same skin tone, and can be bubbly at times.. I’ve gotten similar treatment. People can be so mean to feminine women especially one that is naturally confident, beautiful and authentic. They also love to discredit the success of beautiful women. Calling her an industry plant, she was successful in South Africa before crossing over to the states so she’s not an industry plant. I believe part of their hate towards her is that they feel she does not deserve her position since they seem to think it came easy for her. I’ve learned that when people are jealous of you many times it’s because they feel you don’t deserve what you have that they may lack. On top of her statement about being colored. Which doesn’t mean she’s denying her blackness. Colored is the term they use in SA. I feel so bad for her and I hope she doesn’t let all of this nonsense get to her. I’m sure there’s a lot that comes with fame but I think people forget celebrities are still just people.
I had to pop off on guess who? UABW who were talking ish about Tyla being uppity and of course they brought up SA thinking they're 'better'. She's a baby in this industry. Bey and Rih were young and make mistakes, too. She's tiny. They say rewards are very heavy. I get nervous when I'm the center of attention and do things like this out of shyness or 'making myself small'. One time a guy asked for my number in front of my friend and I blurted out to her if she wants his number out of legit nerves.
Halle was right by standing in her femininity and not doing it. As I’d never let anyone, regardless of phenotype, attempt to “son” me/try to put me in a subservient place. I probably would side eye anyone for even asking me but I wouldn’t think piece it. I’d kinda just think she was a bit delusional for thinking she could ask ME. I don’t think Tyla was wrong for standing in her femininity and asking though.
@@ExoticalsUnited and that’s where I think a lot of black women who are super offended are going wrong. This isn’t even something to be super beefed out on. We can’t even say for sure she was taking to Halle, Halle said she isn’t offended AND it’s a weak discussion on their part. There have been overt instances of disrespect from a lot of the uabw faves that they overlook but they’re looking at this Tyla woman so hard (she’s gorgeous and talented so I can see why) and reading into everything she does. Love your perspective always EU. I’m glad you touched on this.
Also, before I became disillusioned with UABW I was a super apologist for them(went to school in Detroit public schools and was constantly inundated with blackistan politics) always trying not to step on UABW feelings, constantly advocating for them. And I’m gonna just say, when I was on that weak shit, they were the main ones acting like what they accuse Tyla of. Trying to do those types of behaviors they are reading into her ON PURPOSE. And tbh, many were bitter and kinda evil cause of it lowkey. That’s probably why they read into her so much. Many of them are the type to consciously try to son someone they feel inferior to to prove to themselves they are on a pedestal.
Just in case you haven’t seen the video of the other pov, Tyla never asked Halle, she was asking Lil nas x and was trying to get his attention. That’s why Tyla emphasised that she wasn’t asking Halle and said that they’re just girls.
Looks like people are counting her privileges and then using it against her because if she was seem to be not to meet societies beauty standards they wouldn’t say that she was rude or that she thought she was better than people I don’t think anyone would’ve said anything.. She then proceeded to defend other artists who didn’t win the award by stating that she didn’t think she even deserve the award she stated she was grateful but also did n’t feel like her music was even in that genre and even that people used against her pretty women I’m not allowed to JUST exist
