For £20m, it should be a no-brainer. He played in that Leeds team so if there's one thing he knows, that going out and hunting after the ball. And he also does a good job at winning it back, which is what you want from your CDM.
A solid player. Will be a great asset for Chelsea. The only problem is I can't tell if he will fit into the team well based on this video. It also seems like his ball wining style is a little bit risky (mainly by interceptions), but his tackles are solid.
Don’t know how well he will come back form this hamstring injury. Injuries like these hampered a lot of players careers especially with it having required surgery might loose a bit of his pace. If he does come back from it just as good tho think he’d be a class signing and definitely had a bit of fire about him that Liverpool could do with right now massively lacking players with a bit of that right now 🔥. if Mctominy leaves at Utd , Man Utd should be all over Adams or Onana at Everton or Lavia. But Adams would bring a decent competiton to possibly Casmiro
I'm actually at a loss to understand this... we signed Ugochukwu and Santos, might sign Caicedo / Lavia, already have Gallagher and Chukwuemeka... and Casedei, and we're going to sign this guy from LEEDS??? What does this mean for Casedei in particular who has been SPECTACULAR - and has literally had a perfect career so far? We're signing a 21 year old Caicedo who had his only - and best - season so far for 100 million, yet we have an under-21 World Cup finalist (and a MASSIVE player in that team, not a fringe player) who is over 20, and we're just going to forget about him without giving him a chance?!? How many KDB situations do we want exactly? We're going to have 7 players for those 2 CDM positions, and with all due respect - Adams is leagues below Casedei (or 2nd to even Andrey Santos), and for this crowding up we're going to lose him, and similarly not even let Chukwuemeka & Gallagher have a single season to prove themselves yet again. If Caicedo comes, we've ended up over-crowding the position yet again.
Reminds of obi mikel. Very similar playing style. Obviously goes unappreciated and underrated as its dirty work and not very glamorous. But very effective and important for the setup of a team.
Honestly rather have Andrey Santos for his position, his gameplay was quickly similar with Tyler Adam. But unfortunately Pochettino requested experience player so ima forced to see his 9 minutes boredom YT complications.
@@lugebeatzz8747:I don't think money is an issue. Chelsea is spending too much money on young players. Onana is big ,relatively experienced and young at 21 years. We need a physical presence in midfield. Remember Matic-Kante under Conte ?
@@glantedavid9728 I got no problem with Onana but Ugochukwu looks like the same player, with Ugochukwu having more discipline and defensive contribution, I think we need more leaders and I don't think Onana is one of them but I understand what you're trying to say
Check his tackling, interception and block stats.😇😇. CDM's are not there to play like messi, hazard or Iniesta.Their main purpose is to help the defence they are in the team for to do the dirty work and be a menace for opponents.
@@adwinthomas2339 in modern football ur CDM has to be more than a destroyer especially at the top clubs - they need to be good on the ball, press resistant, good positional sense and calm under pressure
