YES! For me, that was the standout takeaway from this entire podcast. Just totally validated everything I feel going about my day to day reality. He says something about the lack of empathy in the living is what terrifies him the most. As an empath, I couldn't agree more. I am constantly gobsmacked by man's inhumanity to man. Not just the big stuff like wars, but the little things, like making fun of someone or flipping the bird on the highway. Or a parent yelling at their young kid, thinking that is the proper way to raise a child to be a good person. Or saying "shut up" to someone. I had to get divorced and really get hardcore about curating my surroundings and the people that I let into my world, because I am way too sensitive and "in my feels" for the average human to deal with. What some people consider a natural and unavoidable part of a relationship, like shouting, eye-rolling, yelling at the kids, silent treatment, slamming a door when angry, cussing and getting pissed off while putting together a piece of furniture...all of that stuff would send me into fight-or-flight. So I pretty much putz around the house with my plants and my cats and do what I can for the people I love while respecting my limits and avoiding overstimulation.

@@alalouis1As Tyler discussed, there are plenty of self-proclaimed “psychics” who are just good at reading people’s expressions and make general statements I would go so far as to say most are not “genuine.” However, there are those who are sensitive to energy around them and can tap into that. In other words, there are some who are the real thing. It isn’t anything scary, or “demonic” nor does it have anything whatsoever to do with religion. My mother was one of them; she called it “God” but never exploited others, never made a penny from it nor ever drew attention to herself. She also had dreams that came true. If she had a dream about someone that contained a message, she would tell the person privately and in an off-handed, casual way so as not to alarm them. Her gift was uncanny.

I died. I believe things Tyler does are real. Tell your friend his bible is just a book. On the other side no one gives a shut about religion. They care that you're a good compassionate person, to all living beings. That includes animals. Don't eat them and you'll have a truly decent afterlife. Not one religion is better than another. They don't give a shit. They care about compassion. Whatever you do while you're alive ask yourself: is this compassionate? You know the answer. If it is or if it's not.

You're not a skeptic then, you want to believe something, you don't understand your confirmation biases and/or the true desires and nature of your psyche. These things don't exist, even though I wish they did, wouldn't it make our mundane boring existence so much more fun? Wouldn't it mean we're special? Wouldn't it mean life is a bit more fantastical and exciting? Unfortunately, it's just not the case.

I’m a believer because of the many experiences I’ve had that could not be explained with a normal explanation. Hence it was most certainly “paranormal”. I still doubt even though I’ve had many varied experiences throughout my life but I know things happen to millions of people everyday that cannot be explained in a “normal” way.

Every medium works in a slightly different way, and they're of varying degrees of skill and depth. BUT as Tyler says, judge them by the verification that comes through in your life. You might check to see if there's a spiritualist church you can visit.

What is a physical medium as opposed to other modes of mediumship?

@notthenoodle it's a medium that physically sees spirits or beings. It has to do with everyone's individual thought process. Some mediums see things only in their mind, and the physical mediums see them as real as you and me. And, there are some that have a mixture. It all depends on how your mind works. Honestly, if I hadn't seen/heard for myself these things I would think it's all fake.

Boy did things change; especially within me personally. Invariably, comets and eclipses HAVE brought about bizarre human tidal events. Or plagues.
