From watching Herro at UK: what folks don't realize about this kid is that the harder you guard him, the more likely he is to go off on you. He's one of those dudes that just thrives on trash talk, physicality, etc. So when the Celtics went one on one with Marcus Smart on him? I knew he was going to have at least one monster game.
To think that this was his first year in the nba and was already popping off in the playoffs and finals is amazing. With more experience, he could be a dominant force in the game.
Don't know if you know european soccer, but Andrea pirlo was a slow soccer player, but probably the best midfielder of all time. He controlled the game at his pace with vision and accuracy. Won championships and a world cup.
Bulls fan here, I know everyone’s team in the draft who picked from 6-12 questions why they passed up on Herro. Obviously the fit for him is way better on the heat with veterans and tough players but it just proves how hard drafting is.
This is why rookies that go to a cohesive team rather than a star studded team play well because because they have the confidence. Jimmy's a bucket but ofc he doesn't out bring the media like LeBron, that's exactly what's happening with kuzma. Whereas take mpj, or take brandon ingram who went from playing w bron to a new young team. This boosts their confidence.
