he's a national treasure. westwood contributed hugely to creating the hip hop scene in the uk. he might be as far from the hip hop image you're used to, but he's still incredibly passionate about the music; even if he does come across as someone's embarrassing dad.
i've admired tyler like an older brother since i was 14... it's insane to be 21, looking back on these vids from when he was around my age... he was immature af lmaoooooo
He's being respectful going with the flow , most people don't understand a healthy conversation for there always must be a winner in their mind , they forget Tyler is weird and Tim just was joining in on the fun because it's fuckin Tyler the creator , real ones will get it. Fax nigga.
Westwood been doin this shit for more years than most of you on here been alive, he dont need to try hard. Rappers wana get with Westwood, it aint the other way round. And he plays some of the sickest hip hop sets EVER live.
the thing about tim westwood is that he actually gets tyler and OF, and dosnt just speak about the same bullshit as other radio DJs and interviewers, he actually does something different.
Sorry I was 2 when you commented this but there’s a video on it basically saying they whent back and forth on twitter and Frank ocean boxed him but Vince staples brought out a gun to stop chris
Love how people still rip on Westwood like he's a wannabe. Tim Westwood started KissFM with Trevor Nelson. He IS the reason we have rap music and hiphop in the UK, he was the only DJ playing HipHop in the 80s and early 90s. Go ask any American rapper who Westwood is and they know him. Go check your favourite rappers shoutouts in the album covers, his name has been in them for over 20 years. Diss him all you want, but don't forget what you owe him as a hiphop fan.
Any of you guys actually know who Tim Westwood is? He's one of the pioneer DJ's/Presenters/Promoters of hip hop in Britain/The World. He's been doing this since around the same time Tyler was born (check Westwood's interview with Will Smith from 1989). I agree that he's an awkward interviewer, but don't knock someone who is such a massive figure in this industry.
