I love how chill and viby the chorus is vs how fucked up the lyrics are. actually makes a lot of sense considering a lot men who turn out to be stalkers, murderers, etc. tend to be very charming at first and it’s easy to ignore their “lyrics” as in red flags. not sure if tyler and frank made that intentional but i’ve always liked it when songs are like that
@@manashield64 i like your analysis on it rather that the typical shame filled blame pointing direction like "he's talking about fornicating with dead women?? OMG dont we have limits in society" when honestly we've been dealing with this horrible problem since civilization genesis.
I was 16 when this was out I listened to these songs all the time so weird how time passes and seeing people who never heard this before be into it and all the views skyrocket
saw a pretty interesting interpretation of this whole song, the song is about two men being obsessed with a girl, the other one, tyler, is the one who doesn't try to hide that he's obsessed while frank, who's also obsessed with her as much as tyler is, his lines just repeats indicating that he's warning the girl despite being a stalker himself. what a very interesting song.
One of my absolute faves as a teen, I remember driving around with my best friends always in charge of the aux cord… he committed suicide and the music we listened to back then is all I really have left of him. Always hits home.
Dude I thought you were talking about just his blonde hair but in EARFQUAKE when he is burning his hair turns into that gray wig. I love the attention and meaning he puts in everything! Still miss odd future and loiter squad tho lol
He was a big part of supreme a d the branding. He git majority of the rare box logos and got a one of one bogo. The pink one that he wears paintballing
That just made me think. When did Supreme really hop on the scene because OF been reppin supreme since like well 2011 at least when that shit was printed on a damn Gilden. Where the hype even come from?
The early 2010s make me so nostalgic. They were just teens fucking around and tryna make it big. I remember being 8 in 2011 and all the memories and shit. they changed so much as people
I was 17 an was still in juvie serving 2 years.when this song came out..I Was released in October 2011 an this an others does give a nostalgia feeling about that time period for me..
I just realized how modern this video is. They were wearing supreme and ski masks before supreme and ski masks were a thing. Even the whole song it’s too modern it’s crazy.
1:47 I always thought of this line to be one of the subtle hints that tyler, dr tc, tron cat are all the same person, as the overall vibe of this song seems to be a combination of his wilder/edgier side and his perfect/ charming side. why else would “yourself” make three, especially with the pause after
Yes! I just got into his music a few months before call me if you get lost came out! Now I listen to his albums frequently. (Mostly cherry bomb, wolf, and the latest one)
Listened to this song for years and years and years, I never really thought hard about how Frank was chosen to be the one who gets the girl in the beginning with him being how he is, I love his flip of character as a person in this song and he kills it. Ever since I heard him here back when the album dropped and we would still be excited to get a CD, I was hooked. Frank is great, Tyler is pretty legendary.
it amazes me how time flies i remember listening to this for the first time back in my freshman year in high school when it dropped bruh and the fact that people still listen to this is crazy in itself
Still remember the day this music video dropped. I was 19 back home from college on summer break. Still had a damn flip phone. Life’s good, but I miss how times were simpler back then. The cords in this song always bring a huge wave of nostalgia! This song is a classic.
chriiisclm Yea it would’ve been different than what’s out now but based on some of the stuff he said in goblin and how easily people get offended they would’ve shot that down immediately lmao
Not at all Channel Orange was a success and he even won a Grammy for it.Everyone is extremely hyped for his album but its taking so long its becoming frustrating. Adele even said she was looking forward to it and that the wait was killing her lol
Those were good times, you acting like you talking about the 90s or early 2000s this song has literally beenn out for 5 years. How old are u btw.. 19? 22?
Me too. I never been into him other than a few songs then I realized everyone was talking about him and realized this was him lol.. I used to love this shit
This was the first time I heard Tyler in a complete song, I first met Frank Ocean then the other ones like Tyler, Earl, Taco, Domo, Jaspher, Hodgy, etc
its almost 2018 and this song has NEVER gotten old. tf So this is officially my most liked comment and I have no regrets. This song still bangs in 2019.
47 til infinity I was in the Army and chillin in my apartment with my ex and new daughter just scrollin a very different RU-vid back then and this song was everywhere. Enjoy today because tomorrow, you’ll be thinking of yesterday.
The funniest thing about this song it's two gays singing about obsessive love for a girl. . . . . . OMG guys, it was just a joke, stop taking too serious, I'm aware that they both bisexuals, thanks.
@Major Label nah that's Milan, Tyler crushed on her in highschool. You can go back and watch the old "I Smell Panties" (Their old channel) where Tyler says "shout out Milan, I would kill myself...." or some shit. It's actually pretty tight
Listened to this while I was in a relationship in high school. Right after this I listened to "her" and she broke up with me a few days after. So much nostalgia
Glad to have found Tyler’s stuff and odd future around 2014 still bump this stuff to this very day. this never gets old and will never get old 🕺🏻 new fans and old fans are welcome, none of that gate keeping bullshit
Fun fact: the main girl in the video is Tyler's ex girlfriend. They had dated for a while and a little bit after the video was released they broke up. Edit: for everyone freaking out, I can’t remember where it is, but I remember hearing this from an analysis of dark music videos. I may be wrong, but I thought it would be cool to post here
I love how this song seems so fucked up at first, but its really just about the sheer frustration of asking someone out and awaiting rejection. I'm sure we've all felt this way before....not sure about the stalking, but you catch my drift
