@@David-vk5sv maybe u need to realize that this way Riot saved a lot of money, esports is not profitable at all and Riot keeps giving money to all the teams and regions but how dare Riot try to save money, BREAK THE BANK, and then in order to make up for it, they will rise the prices of RP even more and lower the budget of every region and the production will get even worse everywhere and then blame Riot again, u people don't think at all do you?
@@justalex7825 I dont think? You obviously are too stupid to realize that Riot is a billion dollar company lmao you must be mentally slow. Riot didnt save money doing this, they paid for the band. This isnt a cost saving decision
@@_a5624goranitrust me, not everyone does. Some obese dei woke karen out there wouldve replied with a whole novel about how "insensitive" this comment is if he didnt add that last part
LP music video with LP only taking up 15% of the screentime? Pretty strange LP video tbh. Now, I agree that LP could've been even less in video, or maybe not at all, but saying it's an LP video is stupid.
@@TheSuperDoctor the screentime of LKP is a bit much, the lack of storytelling is disappointing, 15% or not, this just feel like a LKP MV with LOL action to spice things up
@@TheSuperDoctor tbf it does feel like the way basic music videos are constructed, where a small portion of the screen time is the band, and the rest is some sort of story that matches the song
What ?? this song is literally a generic garbo pop song, are you dumb ? Also calling someone a normie with a anime photo. You must be very edgy and intelectual
Beginning: Well LP's taking over the screentime but okay I guess😐 Middle: Ok that scream was kinda cool, OG LP vibes🙂 Faker part: LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE PIECES OF SHI-🤬
I mean, a lot of other non-Riot music videos do this all the time, particularly rock bands, lol. I like that Riot tries something new for every Worlds song, but judging from League "fan" reaction, they may not be adding the band in as much in the future. 😅
@@hiitscat123 Lots of people did and you probably supported a friend u thought was a good person once as well. She distanced herself from the person pretty quick once it was clear those accusations were probably true. Does it make her a bad person for trusting a friend in the first place? I dont think so.
If people cant accept the fact that chester is gone and theres a new vocalist and its a girl, you should quit being a LP fan. Im a long time fan of LP. Chester dying hits hard for me too. But I will accept the new vocalist being shes not even bad, shes actually good and people should give her a chance.
@@chazhartwayne6493 45 secs, this is almost a third of the entire video. Sry, but no, that won’t work. They should be like ID, play music and not be visible in the background of the players
@@shimrarin2660 I just don't know what to like in Gods MV. Lyrics is cringe "Bad girl woke up and chose violence" seriously?! And they're singing your praises, la-la-la~ Screaming your name out lo-lo-loud. This is the type of lyrics HS kids will come up with if they were asked to compose a song. And the main character doesn't even look like Deft without ADCs weapons and jersey tag of Deft or if doesn't have context i would never guessed it was Deft. The fight scene in Gods was not hitting well with the music compared to HITC. Gods MV looks slow mo and soft. Also not related to the MV the live performance of New Jeans was mid at best, i was like that's it? No emotions whatsoever just doing their routine. Again, that is just my opinion you can have your own and i will be fine with it.
@@shimrarin2660I'm not the same guy as above, but I can give you my take: I like both songs, but I will say I wasn't a fan of the noticeably CG animation in "GODS", and find the painterly animation in "Heavy is the Crown" much more dynamic and beautiful to the eyes. The art has a timeless feel to it. And while I like the retelling of Deft's story of the past 2022 tournament, I prefer the Faker and T1 story of having to defend their crown, a metaphor for defending their World Champion status and Faker's legacy, in this current 2024 tournament more compelling.
@@Seeeelhoom So you are telling me someone who has been with the band for 1 month and like 4 concerts isn't already as good as one of the best singers to ever live who was with the band for pushing 20 years? Crazy...
"It's rnb of worlds song! " Bruder, ALL WORLDS SONGS ARE RNB N POP! It's about damn time we got something that hit harder. Too bad the video miss the mark by a mile
His take was pretty good even korean fans complain why LP have so much screen time and barely any faker Deft’s anthem was literally him and his journey the whole vid. still, LP’s live performance is gonna be hyped
I have this song on repeat for the last 2 days no hate to linkin park, I'm a huge fan. Plus they shouldn't have been included in the music video, the cuts were annoying and I can't focus on the animation. Feels like it's part of the contract for them to be included but it is what it is.
They showed lil nas for like 3 seconds in star walkin and nobody cared. I think the song is fine, and the setting overall was fine it wouldn't have made everyone happy but of they just added more scenes and cut the band out it would have worked
Yeah I wish the video was more about the players and building hype the event. I get that its Linkin Park but a small cameo of the band at the end would have sufficed
Song is banger, video is alright. I mean, on a technical level, it's absolute amazing, even better than Rise but the artistic direction is lacking. There's no story, very few references, too much linkin park cameo, lacking of creativity in the action choreography and the paneling is basic af. Put some kpop instead then remove Faker glazing scene and the video would be forgotten despite its qualities.
They say Gods is the best worlds video and its the same boring music video with normie pop music and the player starting from the buttom to reach the top of the mountain or whatever, which has become repetitive af.
Song is better than the shit of the last few years. Imagine Dragons was good. The only one I can remember well... the other songs? I don't even remember OMEGALUL
The track itself is really good, no one can deny that. But please excuse me, after last year’s GODS, everyone was expecting the same epicness and scale. What happened? LP album promotion? Dear, good, but they weren’t hired for this at all and not for this
His take was pretty good even korean fans complain why LP have so much screen time and barely any faker Deft’s anthem was literally him and his journey the whole vid.
The no. 1 thing that I hate about the vid is the fact that they di my boi Gumayusi so dirty. Blud literally created lots of highlights with Varus back-to-back at worlds 2022 and 2023. Andddd they had him as Xayah. :| Instead, they gave it to friggin Massu. The favoritism is strong in this one. I guess pretty privilege exists in all industries, huh?
right? Zeus Aatrox and Faker Azir was so iconic. but they barely gave them any screentime. Keria as Naut, when the truth was his Bard that carry Worlds. Guma 1v1 and 1v2 with Varus but they gave him Xayah instead. Oner as Lee Sin and Viego. but we all know that his Poppy and Rell was insane during Worlds. even if they are saying "it's their favorite champs or T1 most iconic champs in the video", that is just sounds out of nowhere. if that the case, it should be Zeus Jayce, Oner Lee Sin, Faker Orianna, Guma Jinx/Cait, and Keria Lux
This song is nothing short of a banger. I feel like a lot of League folks just hate anything that isn't orchestral music, as we've been used to for years. These people probably only listen to one music genre all the time. (I also wish Bin looked more like Bin and the GOAT had more screen time)
Most league folks aren’t even hating on the song itself and more so the mv. If you look at the comments on mv video, they are making jokes about the mv.
great Worlds song, but I dislike that they put LP in the video. The song and video is supposed to be about the players, not the band. This just feels like a Linkin Park ad
most people unanimously say song good. video shit. not because the quality of the vid was shit but it was just a Linkin Park promo video and it should have been solely about T1 and the other teams. just a bad story in the video. people can bitch all they want tho. the song is good. Im so fucking glad its not kpop again.
it also has something with how the fuck rito will know who will go to worlds and who is not? not like they will create the video around summer playoff.... they should have stick with just honoring the last year winner and participant instead of focusing to this year... then there is the fact that almost all asian player are beyond recognition that the asian player themselves don't know who is who... bin himself didn't know it was him holding blg flag... deft though the video is all about him cause he keeps appearing.... heck none of the people knew Chovy is the akali the video and its funny like ur making every worlds song is a kpop which is not lol since the start we got everything all English except for two years
LP song, off of LPs new record which will be released in 6 weeks after a 7 year hitaus and the band is in ti for like 21 seconds. How is this a "LP Promo Video" ?
dude doesn't give a fk about how mad certain people are gonna be bcs he likes heavy is the crown and not gods, most other streamers I have seen were liking the song then saw some people malding over it in the comments and then it was like yeah yeah yeah, thats not good and suddenly moved on from it bcs it knew they can't say they actually like the song bcs those people will come after their as*
Ngl, I've not seen anyone really complain about her, outside of the Scientology stuff, most people just seem to worry about complaints. Personally I think if the band is happy with her, then it's the best step they could have taken.
the song is the best theyve ever done, the video is the best theyve ever done, EXCEPT the amount of linken park in it, however i dont dislike when the girl screams, the artwork is too good to dislike it being in there, but they were the only times they needed to be shown at all.
The thing is it is just not a worlds song. It is just a LP song from LP album stamped with a MV featuring league. My guess is that's the main reason they had to include the band so much.
But it fits Fakers current status and T1 perfectly. Faker carrying all the heavy expectations and trying to hold their fort against the challengers all these years.
Riot asked for a song, and let the band do its thing. Unlike starwalking and that was 🐩💩, it just so happens to fit a worlds hype song, the rest of the competition build up and hype the video takes care of that by itself, there’s nothing really missing, so yeah, it’s a worlds song, starwalking was complete ass and had no business being a world’s anthem fr
@@VonAndrade Don't you think it's rather about Emily the new singer having to hold up to the expectations of the empty throne with Chester's Crown on it ? "This is what you asked for" is clearly saying "you wanted more LP well there you have it".
@@jamieallover1587 Ofcourse this is what they meant when they were composing the piece. But Riot picked probably it up in their list of album songs cause if fits what Faker is going through right now. Same as what they did with Warriors it as part of ID album and it fits worlds and Riot picked it up.
@@VonAndrade I'm not clear on the ID stuff I remember the band saying they had close ties with the game and composing it with it in mind. Riot got the right to even reprise the song later on. A fairer comparison would be Ignite from Zedd which is clearly a Riot commission. In any case my point stands. The song is not composed with league in mind whatsoever here. Otherwise they would have never ever missed the obvious meme "outnumbered nine to one" for the 1v9 instead of "ten to one".
@@cringeginge7663 telling the insufferable old LP fans that were always crying about the "Old LP Sound" that LP can always easily reproduce it if they wish so. Therefore the "This is what you asked for".
Dude the song is great anyone who denies this has no clue about music. League nerds need to go outside more who gives a shit about league in 2024? This song is easely the best league worlds song objectively speaking.
@Pi22aPino yeah but that's cuz of the genre not because of Chester. This is one of the most early linkin Park sounding songs ever and it still gets hate because of the new vocalist.
i don't like tyler1 but his reaction/take about this worlds song is the best out of everyone like how can u say this year's MV is not top 3 it is just insane
