Becoming strangers is one of the most painful feelings. Really hard to get through sometimes.

Listening to this while laying in bed at 3 AM staring at the full moon, smelling the campfire smoke in the crisp spring air as it drifts through my window... it almost feels magical.

The worst part of friendship is becoming strangers with someone who you thought was going to be your friend forever.

I can't even explain the intense emotions this brought out of me. I feel like my spirit is crying, like I'm on the verge of breaking down, yet my eyes and lips aren't moving. I'm still and calm, yet aching to break free. I'm at a loss of words for this one. It's so special.

I dont know what it is but these synths- the deep, wavey and soundscapy chords always make me feel sick with nostalgia... I love it

To tell you the truth, i thought i am the only one who listens to such rhythm, still we are so few, still feels lonely, heaven like... Thank you for being what you are :)

The ability to imagine worlds, dream and fantasize about them, is what gives beauty to the human mind. Living untold dreams, experiencing someone else's version of a fantasy world, either by music, art, film, or just words is very valuable thing I'm glad we have. have a nice day

I heard this about 3 years ago. I was working as a graphic designer at the time, long commute to the workplace, about an hour and a half one way. I’d usually spend all my time in the bus listening to ambient music. Previous night, fought with my gf, went to sleep thinking it was over but wishing and hoping it wasn’t. Woke up the next morning, heading over to work, sitting in the bus heard this for the first time. Kept it on loop for an hour and a half the whole way. It’s weird how I recall that particular day and how I was feeling on that particular bus commute to work everytime that I listen to this now.

Coding with this is something else

I love this track so much, it gives me hope.

The title of the song sounds so sad. But when I listen to it, I get a sense of relief. Like a massive boulder being lifted from your shoulders. Maybe becoming strangers was a good thing. Maybe this person was toxic and the ruination of whoever this is, and this song is what the relief of letting that person go feels like.

When you thought it would never end but it did, and now it’s like it never was real

This reminds me I have to leave and set out for a new journey in another universe.

It feels like I can barely breathe when I listen to this. I inhale the emotions of a breakup I went through months ago and exhale a welcome sigh of relief this song seems to inhibit.

No music can beat the music that creates emotional and soothing ambient.

Imagine, when two people who used to know each other very well, drifted apart for no apparent reason, became total strangers....with memories. This is what this sound describes to me. A painful feeling to experience. But beautiful at the same time

This music touches something in my soul, like many others I'm experiencing this. it feels like the waves of the familiar, calling and calming vibrations are resonating with something deep inside my soul. something long forgotten but still so familiar. I want to know what it is. Everything is so clear when listening to this! More people should take their time to truly listen to this!

The title seems fitting for most relationships as well as one's own understanding of our own lives. Strange and sad at the same time.

This is wonderful. The mystetrious dreamlike background of someone entering a fantasly land with mountains, rivers and a hidden dragon through a squared gate located in space matches brilliantly with the breathtaking slow atmosphere and the progresin throughout the track is beautiful. I didn't even realize it was almost seven minutes long when I first listened to this, this just sets you into a different dimension. And this is FREE? Holy crap

I never thought this song were about a break up with a bf-gf, even when i saw the title, this is about the shakening of what you strictly were, how you betrayed and diminished yourself. How you became so numb cuz thinking were such painful? It is time to forgive the stranger.

This somewhat reminds me of the main emotional track in the walking dead video game. I remember the first time I heard it, I had not known something of such somber nature. Finding this brought that same melancholy which is truly a beautiful thing to feel. To feel pain is to be human. To be lost is to be real.

I’m diving in the middle of the sea at night, it’s like a mirror, everything you can see are the stars that makes the universe... I can feel relief, peace, the water touching my body, there’s no time, there’s no even need of breathin’. I just lay on the sea lookin’ to the infinite.

leaving a toxic form of self to be a better version of yourself can almost feel like you’re becoming strangers with yourself...especially when you’ve become comfortable with toxic habits you’ve used throughout the years to defend yourself in whichever way possible against other indecent people.

No idea why, but the first thing I thought when I heard this was being stuck in deep desolate space with no way to contact anyone. But anyway, I feel so chill to this song. I love it.

It's been 7 years since I last spoke to her. I don't regret it. In becoming strangers, I let go of her hurtful words, her racist family and her endless fake promises. In becoming strangers, I am no longer having to struggle with anxiety because her actions disprove her words of affection to me. In becoming strangers, I allowed myself to find my now wife-to-be who I am happily together with for over 4 years. We became strangers because I decided that my happiness & emotional well-being were more important than catering to her personality disorder.

2019? - Man did this song feel so relevant in 2018 (One of the worst years of my collective life), thankful enough to say my wife and I are still strong and doing better than ever!! The title to this song already just tells the darkness and despair we were going through with not only one another, but to all other aspects of life. I Listened to this song during those hard months.

I feel my breath exit my body. My mind is still. My vision clear. I know what peace is, and this is it. No worries. No self. No trauma. All is quiet, and I love it.

This sounds like the music i will start to hear when my soul leaves the body and sole peace starts to unfold.

Listening to this helps me to get through when i feel low or tryna sleep. I like to imagine I'm floating through space where's no chaos, no pain, no human interaction, just that heavenly quietness in the vast empty space.

Listening to this while its raining, amazing...this song really gives you that fantasy world vibe.

Life is a lesson, we have to do the right choices to make the things around better, maybe we have to make sacrifices and sometimes not.

Now im walking alone in a lovely forrest, filled by flowers, hearing nothing but birds singing. just walking with no overthinking, no stress, completely away from everything that can disturb me. This is what this masterpiece make me feel, like wandering soul in an imaginary world.

That is probably one of the deepest song I listen to this day. It's a piece of art, of history, of my history. Hope everyone will have great future days. We never know what can happen tomorrow.

I've been listening this song for the last 5 years. So many things happened during this period. And last half of year my country have full scale war with russia. This song helps to make step "outside" as never before.

It is so mean, and emotional. Im dying for this one!

My interpretation of this piece. I've listened to it many times already. "We Became Strangers" doesn't mean someone who talked to you and doesn't talk to you anymore. It means someone you can no longer talk to anymore, for they have passed away. For me, the eerie uneasy feeling of this synth, following the silence means that death is slowly creeping up on us. I view death as a beautiful thing as this life is temporary, and death provides the gateway to eternal life. That is why the sounds of this song sounds so beautiful yet the solemn silence and true mystery of death is horrific. It reminds me of the precious life that each of us have on Earth and how delicate life can be as it can so easily be lost. I remember that we are not physical beings, but spiritual beings who can be transported at any instant. I encourage you to live your life to the greatest potential, without fear, worries, drama, but seek the things your heart truly desires. Remove the smog and clouds from your thoughts of this world, and figure out what YOU need to fill your spirit. I love ambient music and I listened to a lot of different music. At first I hated this piece, but now I'm in love with it as it gives me a true reality. This one really impacted me. Just thought I'd share.

My best friend commited suicide. A few weeks before she died we had a silly argument over something trivial and didn't talk much after, mostly because we were too busy and caught up in our own lives. It hurts so much.
