Sadly, Peter didn't take care of himself in his younger days. After he sobered up, he understood & accepted the damage his body endured after years of alcohol & drug use. For someone who's 6'7", your heart has to work EXTRA hard to keep your body alive. We all miss the Green Man :(

It breaks my heart for Josh when I heard that he no longer even participates in his music since losing his dearest friend Peter. I miss their music that they would have had Peter lived. Peter was on a new journey and who knows where that music would have taken him since he had become clean and sober. 😢💚
In my own way, me too. Josh is integral to what type o hits me with, the total vibe and mentality of the band. I am happy for him that he was able to move away from it, but damn. I really loved josh’s addition as much as peters. Josh did a smart thing though, he evolved away from what would not sustain his spirit
These guys always put on a hell of a show. Sometimes it felt like band practice which made it more of an intimate show. There will never be another band like Type O or vocalist like Peter.
I was there, I was 22 at that time, came there with 2 friends from Barcelona by car and type o negative was one of the best show. It was atwo nights of camping, then festival, then a german tour... nice memories :P
"The song "Green Man" had two meanings for Steele; it is written about the Celtic embodiment of nature, and Steele's time with the Parks Department, when young children used to call him "The Green Man"" (source: Wikipedia) :D I think he always wore green because he loved nature and was rather nostalgic for his former job :)
Very true! Peter loved nature, especially autumn. He always said that he wished he could live in a land where autumn never ended. That's why the month of October is very special to me.

Mte. There’s a lot of processing that’s gone in to this. Reminds me of times their set has been efd by sound/power issues out of their control, how raw it sounded compared to this

Wacken is always tough for me to watch because of how drunk he was. It's this show I believe he references when he said he drank four bottles of wine before the show, four during the show, and four after. Absolutely insane.
Honestly I feel like they were really hitting their stride live wise in 2007, really wish Pete didn’t pass away, they kept it real no matter what was going on in the world.
I really like the way he is dressed up here, and I like what he does with the wine and the sign of cross. Cool. He is still so charming. And I LOVE the facial hair. Please Peter, keep it!
I have to say this. Even though this might not be the most brutal song ever performed, it is more powerful than any metal song I have heard so far. Type O Negative FOR THE WIN!
Man i wish i would have seen them live, There such a uneke band. I will alwase regret not seeing them live. I grew up in the 90's listening to them from the first time i ever heard them i have been a fan! Type O Negative you guys will never be forgotton. RIP Peter, because of you i will never look at fall of the year the same. Peace brother.

peter really hated tours and the road life,i still remember that i saw an interview when he was basically saying that tours would kill him,damn acohol took away from us one of the best male singers ever and and after all the drugs,alcohol and bats ozzy is still alive.
