I Miss The Green 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚. With all of my Heart. Peter Steele is one of the greatest people who have been on this planet. His music will live on forever and always. His music has been there for me since I had heard of him. I lesion to my Type O all day everyday. Thank you For being a Type O Fan.
Check yourself, even the Foo Fighters are considered classic rock. To believe Typo will last till end of time is a bit farfetched, maybe the end our time.
Met a girl at a Gwar concert (she was with her dad, nothing happened) that introduced me to Type-O Negative and Ghost. I had heard of them before but never listened, didn't even know what they looked like. Ghost was okay but TON hit me like a bullet. I was instantly obsessed and I was weeping and feeling every song. Love You To Death took me like 40 listens or something before I could listen to it normally, but I felt the blood in my heart come out of my eyes in streaks, not even tears. There's an interview around the time of Dead Again where Peter jokingly said that he wouldn't play the songs live before the record released because he considers it "mass psychosis, genocidal", and then says it's because people just wouldn't know what they're hearing. Thing is, he wasn't wrong with the joke. He was a big fan of the Beatles conspiracies, I really want to see what happens when you play these songs backwards. I had an awakening or something listening to Gimme That (I was listening to the whole album while driving to the grocery store and back), thinking about the plight of true love that Peter had lost to fame (I'm out here for true love, so it's a focus of thought). I felt something wrap around my heart that resulted in me coming alive, basically, accompanied with the feeling of "when it comes let it take you" and I haven't been the same since. It was magical. I went from feeling like I was dying to drifting the tail end of my truck into snowbanks on back roads (while Life Is Killing Me kicked in, it's surreal) in the same night. Something clicked. This is healing music. This album in particular is forever tied to the snow in my mind, and I dream of giving someone else the experience I had that night,, maybe even more. Heat blasting until it was stuffy so the window was down, blaring this album in the snow-clad night, effectively joy riding and probably waking people up (maybe giving them better dreams instead). It was the best I ever felt. It reminded me of when I was little and I was on nights out with my dad, but he blared AC/DC and Ozzy/Black Sabbath, among others. This album means a lot to me for that.
I never was a fan of TON but knew a few songs here and there but I’ve been binge listening to them to get through my loneliness and anxiety and they’ve been helping me. Sooo… I’ve bought all of their albums on vinyl except I need WCD to complete my collection
LOVE IT. PETE... Arrows fester in my heart Each memory another dart Love and death both colored red Showing my past, the dream is dead The dream is dead, yeah
I met my druidess and have now been with her 14 years so far, thanks to this top tier band who brought us together. Love Type O, and Peters voice. Rest in peace Peter x
Astute listeners will notice that his problem with the medical industry have everything to do with the exorbitant costs to the patient even if the treatment is ineffective and nothing to do with vaccines. From this we can conclude that Peter Steele would have been a supporter of free healthcare.
Check out the old band called Carnivore:” Retaliation”@1987 is the only one that you’ll enjoy playing non- stop if you’re into both Slayer and Sabbath. Peter’s favourite music was every single thing that Sabbath was. ❤ Cheers from Boston, Mass.
joyita de álbum, sin duda el mejor de su carrera, cada una es muy buena, de esos álbumes para escuchar de principio a fin, we were electrocute mi favorita y mejor del disco(no leo lloros)
Type-O-Negative is way "higher" than any other "smash out" band, as his sound and personality was=is "simply" deeper for anyone who will listening it. Welcome to the family brother.💚🖤
Less Than Zero sounds like if The Beatles turned into a heavier Sabbatical band and they put it on the Abbey Road album back in 1968 ( Let It Be was the second to last, but the final one released on their label. Carnivore-1987 “ Retaliation is like if Black Flag met up with Black Sabbath
He left before us he wanted to just be himself life might? Just be killing him no matter what he’ll be found through us he doesn’t give up on his life is killing me song…the future goes on n on for us and for us what would he like us to find out????
Peter was keenly aware of the bs and harsh realities of life and he and the band make great use of satire, sarcasm, wit and even wisdom; but mostly he loved the darker nuances of life despite the tragedy that it ultimately seems to be. To further explore what personalities like he and Jim Morrison, etc are like, read the Four personality type in "Personality Types" by Riso and Hudson. Very informative👽
Most artists leave their songs open for interpretation. I can't say for sure thats the case, but as long as they're enjoying the song than it's working!
if you're suggesting he'd be against transitioning, the answer is no, and he's stated in interviews before that people should do what they need to do to be happy
Dont hate the player, hate the game
I 100% disagree. There's so much metal/rock out there that is incredible in their own rite. You'd be missing out on so much if you think any band is the best and its all you need to listen too. They're are people that listen to Reggaeton, arguably the worst genre of music in terms of creativity and how repetitive it is w/ the same drum beat, that think its the best stuff out there. I try to do the opposite, expand my tastes and preserve it all on my hard drives.
