@@prashantidantu5162 I didn’t say she said depression is not there. I said depression shouldn’t be taken lightly. She said, ‘tinadaniki, bayatiki velladaniki leni depression, deeniki enduku?’!! It’s like in 3 idiots movie, when the boy told the principal that he couldn’t concentrate on studies because his father had a heart stroke and the principal asked him that if he didn’t stop eating food or having bath daily then why did he stop studying??!! Does it make any sense?? He literally brushed of the boy’s trauma by asking silly questions like having bath and eating food!! What happened next?? Eventually he felt left alone and committed suicide because no one understood him and top of it everyone acted as if his trauma is a silly thing!! And expected him to focus on studying the way he does his daily chores of having bath and eating food!! Whereas, everyone knows that having bath is different and studying is different!! For studying one needs focus, concentration and most importantly determination which people lack. Instead of understanding the situation and motivating them you cannot compare it with daily chores like eating and bathing!! Similarly, if a woman is suffering from post partum depression and venting out her frustration on people around, then firstly people need to understand her situation, condition and mental pressure. They need to motivate her rather than calling her lazy, or frustrated and comparing her inability to take care of a child to eating and bathing!!
