very good explanation of waterproofing, but one thing, waterproofing can be divided into, 3 types, cementitious, bituminous, and resinous the polyurethane, epoxy and polyurea are belongs to resinous waterproofing. u never explained about epoxy and polyurea..

PU is a more durable option compared to acrylics . Heat reduction though depends directly on the thickness the system you are going to utilise and the SRI of the coating . The "whiter" and "brighter" your coating , the better your heat reflection / reduction

Depends on budget. Based on my experience you can choose dr fixit polyurethane waterproofing (expensive like it costs around 750rs per sqm) or asian paints damp proof and uv top coat (less cost).

best thing is cementitous waterproofing, and apply two coat water based or solvent based pu by roller only for 5 year guarantee ..( if there is no crack on ur terrace...
