twitch.tv/ake60 The Defense mastery in a speedrun? Is that even possible? Well ... this is my approach. Feel free to tell me what you think about it. Full run: • Solo Mastery Typhon Sp...
Very exhausting, I bet. 1 complete (meaning, successful) three-difficulty run take several hours. Multiply that by number of masteries and add a few on top for retries on moments where you can get occasionally stuck. And even then, not all masteries give you the opportunity to speedrun the game until legendary Typhoon and speedrun will turn into just casual play-through
No. Tier lists in general are not my strong point. I can only tell you how good the classes perform in a speedrun and it's not worth the effort to rank every combination for Typhon runs. The differences of for example Rune/Spirit and Rune/Defense would be non-existent. You wouldn't pick any skills outside the Rune mastery. Sorry 😐
Wouldn't be better to unlock unyelding phalanx as fast as possible? I know it requires 40 points into mastery but at level 18 you alerady have 51 + at least 6 bonus points, So that would leave you with 17 skill points for this and other abilities. Also, shields with +1 to defense mastery are quite common, so unlocking more skills would benefit from it greatly.
The Unyielding Phalanx didn't do much against Typhon - at least that's the impression I got from the one try in which I used it. The Defender's Shield would have been great, but farming for it doesn't seem to be worth it. This "speedrun" is also not very optimised because it's just a pain in the rear end to complete.
The problem is that when I play defense (just a few hours for now) i feel like i have no damage and I dont feel tanky at all maybe i need to build more properly ir w8 until more midgame
Defense only starts feeling powerful when the game slows down a lot: late epic and legendary. At that point, you should be able to: 1- have close to max block and shield recovery, 2- have 50% chance to use proc shield attacks. Your AoE will still suck, but your single target damage becomes noticeably high. Then of course it depends on your second mastery. So yeah. Defense is more tailored toward "late game". Without being "the absolute objective best", it still has some very strong points.
@@alphapolimeris Recall that TQ is a multiplayer game, like Diablo 2. The design allows for single player, but the focus is on multiplayer, party play. The game is way easier for a group.
