I am a Yardie living in Canada and I take care of my 92 year old Mom She is doing well and still sharp, walking around, gardening and cooking but it gives me pleasure to show her Love and care. Here is a Jamaican Patois refresher 😀 Say “you knowow de ting go” or “you don’t knowow de ting go” Don’t leave out the “how” or “ow” because it actually means “you know HOW the thing goes” When you say “you don’t know de ting go” it sounds like a foreigner trying to talk Jamaican” To sound like a real Yaadie dont leave out the “how” All the best to you and family

That suitcase story 12:47 reminds me of a time I went to school without shopping, so normally they used to check the bags, you have one for books and carrier bag for shopping, so the boarding mistress checks my book bag, expects the shopping bag and it is not there. I was so teary, my mum was so broke then, but like a week later, she sent some money as she had promised. God bless her. I hope I will be able to do great things for her.😢

People dont be ridiculous. They advised her to invest her money first as a priority more than true, financial wisdom is investment first before expenditure. She can support her parents but invest first after having investment you can be extravagant in spending for those you love. What if she doesnt make more money tomorrow what happens to her? She will have to sell the things she bought for her parents to start by again. Investment before expenditure was the message, dont twist things unnecessarily. She has nothing for herself and all her money is spent on the parents not the smartest thing to do. I do alot for my parents but i more focused on investing first the more i do this the more i can do more formy loved ones.
