The level of expertise going into tire development over the years has been incredible, and it goes a long way in making me feel safe on track (at about one millionth the rate of pro racers, of course). I think the next limit regarding safety in racing is the interplay between aero and tires, and the disastrous impact of suddenly losing airflow (getting into someone’s slipstream) and then losing tire grip. To me, that’s a rules question more than an engineering issue.

Teams and riders already said multiple times that the front tire pressure below 1,89bar is not the problem, the high pressure is the problem! So this is not for safety reasons! And is doesn't matter how many times michelin repeats this bogus!

I guess that with the new higher loads they had two choices to make the tyre safe: 1. heavier construction or 2. higher pressures.

Power 5 dangerous, How? i've Michelins on car, dirt and road bikes, power 5, rs, gp, cup2 never let me down

Waste of time! These teams spend millions to make the bikes work as best as possible, they will use the best tyre pressure to deliver maximum performance.. why would they use dangerous tyre pressures? They want to win not crash... this rule is ridiculous.. a team won't spend millions in developing thier bikes to win!!!!!

Never had a tyre pressure issue with Bridgestone tyres . Only issue was on warm up lap keeping the heat and then the long wait at the lights was out of order . After a green light you had to go for it and keep heat for 1 lap and go wild afterwards . But that issue only started happening to people like dani pedrosa who was light weight so he had to work crazy and hope it stuck to keep the temp up . Also the introduction of wings at the front didnt help . Michelin have ruined moto gp so has the wings . A pack of Always Ultra has less wings than a moto gp bike now . And its starting to be a Ducati gp now . And lets see how the crashqez bros get on with messing each other up and ruining everyones chances of a win by being a roadblock and pulling idiotic moves . Marc crashqez has a terrible attitude to work now if hes not in the top 5 hes taking people out . He is going to kill someone with his tactics . Wont be long until he takes pecco out constantly and gets fired .
