Listened to a friends T5 after buying his T3. T5 sounds a little bit better but not enough for spending all this extra money. I'm very happy with my T3.
@@ThomasZink67 well 2 years ago i upgraded to the T4 and that will be the last stop :-)) I still have zero intrest in the T5 and the Genos is way to expensive for an amateur musician playing once in a while ;-)
Not a huge amount of difference based on this, although I am not sure that this really demonstrates the features and sounds which have been added since T3.
The T-5 sounds richer, fuller, and the drums are definitely better...so to me the T-5 wins easily, but that does not mean the T-3 is a bad sounding arranger, on the contrary, it too, is great sounding board
Is the keybed of these two instruments the same? When i tried them out, Tyros3 seemed to have better keys, with black keys depressing a little lower than on the T5, making it a little more pianistic. Did anyone else notice that?
I agree the newer model will always be better. As a matter of fact last year I was set to buy a Tyros 5 before I resigned. I did also consider a Tyros 4 and I was very tempted to buy a black one that was listed on EBay last summer but I thought it best not to rush my decision. I think for now I will stick to using Halion as many sounds in Halion either use similar samples or the same samples. Maybe in 2027 I might reconsider buying an arranger workstation if I still want one, I might go big and buy a Yamaha Genos.
A good honest demo of the Tyros 3 and 5. I was hard pressed to notice any difference at all. In short is there any point in spending all that money to upgrade t Tyros 5 when even the Tyros 3 still holds it's own against a Tyros 5? Unless you need 76 keys on a new Tyros 5 it just seems a great way to line Yamaha's pockets for little or no gain. I defy any audience at a gig to know the difference.
This demo makes it possible to compare the sounds of the two versions and it is already very good. But it does not let you know if it is possible to load audio files on the Tyros 3, to accelerate the tempo of the files, to transpose them, to delete the "vocal". An informed comment on these questions would be welcome. Guy ♫♫♫

Mais elle ne permet pas de savoir s'il est possible de charger des fichiers audio sur le Tyros 3, d'accèlérer le tempo des dits fichiers, de les transposer, de supprimer le "vocal". I play T3, and I know.... T5 have a lot of new things,-but the price? Buying a new expensive keyboard have to give me a lot more. I got what i need for makin' money at parties with T3. These key's aint cheap.
T3 might at first seem to have a more full sound, but there are some issues that makes the T5 the winner in my ears: The default "shadows guitar" on T3 is just awful. The audio drums, once you get used to them, gives much more realism (especially in this style). The sound on the T3 is way to "muddy", the lower notes (the bass in particular) overshadows the rest. On T5 you can hear more or less all the instruments clearly. Another thing I have noticed is that T4 and T5 is aiming for a more professional sound that is closer to the studio recordings of the songs (or music styles) they are "copying", where as T1, T2 and to some extend T3 is more aiming for a rich sound that does not necessarily sound like the originals.
I didn't try, so could you confirm that "Legacy" folder contains the previous Tyros sounds ? (by example we can find the ClassicalFlute Sweet! in the Legacy folder. The quality of this flute is maybe better than the new ClassicalFlute S.A.2 ?) Je n'ai pas testé, alors pouvez-vous confirmer que les sons de la rubrique "Legacy" reprennent les sons des Tyros précédents? (car par exemple on retrouve bien la ClassicalFlute Sweet! dans "Legacy". Le son de celle flûte est peut être meilleur que la nouvelle ClassicalFlute S.A2 ?).
Well...I have a T3, play at parties in Denmark and I dont think my audience will notice the difference. Sure...some of the voice things are much better, but they dont justifie the heavy price.
Hey people, what are you talking about??? Tyros 5 sounds much more realistic and more wide and has more realistic fx and so on... If you like T3 more than T5, Buy PSR-300 - and you''ll be happy! Thanks a lot for this comparison video!
Stefan Stankovic No, I am not. But it looks like everyone who cannot afford the T5 thinks the T3 sounds better :) If you say T3 sounds better then you have not heard the actual Shadows-recording. Not only does the T5 sound like real people playing instruments, the guitar voice also sounds 10 times better than on T3.
Stefan Stankovic True. But in this particular case I cannot understand why people can prefer the T3, it just sounds so .. prehistoric. Not just the style, but also the shadowsguitar voice. On T5 it sounds like the real guitar with the real effect.
Yes, you put a voice in part 1 and/or part 2 (this will be the left split part) and a voice in port 3 (this will be the right split part). Then you set a custom split point under DIRECT ACCESS > ACMP.
Du mener ikke helt alvorligt, hvorfor denne musikvideo skulle være din undskyldning for at ha' købt en 5'er,når du havde en 3'er - vel? Og forresten, jeg har også tidligere røget pibe i mange år - men det er jo ikke velset og accepteret længere - så derfor "stoppede" jeg selv for 10 år siden.
Jeg kan godt afsløre at jeg ikke købte tyros 5 for blot at lave denne video. Det har du fuldstændig ret i. Jeg ryger heller ikke pibe men på mit profilbillede har jeg en i munden. Ked af at afsløre at man ikke altid kan stole på billeder fra internettet ;)
The drums are what makes the Tyros 5 stand out and sound more realistic although I am not saying the Tyros 3 is bad. Against other arranger keyboards Tyros 3 would win easily but the Tyros 5 is just that little bit better. Technology moves on my friends and we have to go with it or be left behind.
the tyros 5 shads guitar does sound better .and the tyros 5 is a proper upgrade from the tyros 4 ,when tyros 4 came out i didnt buy it because there wasnt much diffrence and sounded the same .but tyros 5 sounds 10 times bettter than tyros 4 and its got more stuff on it
secondo me , fare il confronto così tra' lo styles della tyros3 midi, contro quello della tyros5 che suona audio ,non vale, il paragone purtroppo non regge anche se la tyros5 su' altro e' nettamente superiore ....
This demo is not special for T5,this instrument has much more powerfull. T3 in this demo has fuller sound . Can you hear bass ?For me T3 is fuller,maybe not better,but not bad .In this song only drums better plays T5. I know t5 is 6 years younger then T3 ,and new and better,but you must find for example better demo ;-)
