I dont care who you are. If you are a Bears fan and dont come away impressed by this kid, then i dont know what you are looking at. UDFA, D2 and this kid played a near flawless game in relief of Justin. Its why as a fan i was demanding they keep this kid on the 53 coming out of preseason. Us as Bears fans have never had a prospect like this on the roster. A diamond in the rough with loads of potential to grow into who knows what. Its exciting to see him get an opportunity.

his photographic like memory and they way he navigated through all these questions was really refreshing. Not a used car salesman like mitch, and justin has an issue sometimes articulating his thoughts. This guy has a great mind. Its all up to him. If bagent wins vs the chargers, i feel like we might be trading away fields. Fields is physically gifted but he is so slow at reading the game. It doesnt matter if justin can make every throw and out run a defense, if his football IQ cant process the field fast enough you are just cooked at the NFL level. 3 years of fields vs a couple preseason games and 1 start from bagent tells me the head on the kid is that of an NFL QB, now we just gotta see how he does after defenses get NFL film on him.

Yeah - so far in the regular season all we’ve seen are short passes and the one “longish” pass that he threw was underthrown. He was taken out for a hail mary. This is why the press thought he can’t throw down field. He definitely can and has one of the strongest arms in the NFL. It’s just that we haven’t seen it yet.

People are staving for a QB like him to succeed. He came from nothing and over night he’s the QB of the week.

I think Justin Fields should be a wideout or a running back in the mode of a McCaffrey. Call me insane or whatever but Justin has great running instincts and world-class speed. He is the best runner we have. I really think he could do that and if he is as good as I think and Bagent continues to improve, this offense could be pretty incredible. In the NFL you have to have a guy who can stand in the pocket fearlessly and throw the ball. I think this kid can.

If a guy says he has a cannon for an arm he can probably throw it 50 or 60 yards accurately… And it doesn’t really matter all you need to do is throw the ball from 20 to 30 yards accurately or from 5 to 10 yards accurately… You don’t need to throw 60 or 70 year old bombs in the NFL do you? Not very often… I’m sure he can throw 75+ yards maybe more… But yeah, he’s got a good arm… But that’s not the most important thing about being a quarterback… It’s poise, football IQ, character, knowing what the defense is doing, accuracy, placement, touch, and being on time.
