I'm so chuffed he's doing this, what a fighter this man was , so exciting , talks perfect sense and I think he once boxed in front of 80,000 at Wembley?
I agree 👍 I used to love watching Froch's fights, he was always an exciting fighter to watch, always giving his all, even when he was down on the scorecards. I sometimes go back and rewatch his epic battle against Jermaine Taylor! When Froch was being comprehensively out boxed in the early rounds....but he stuck in there, bit down on his gumshield, kept on chipping away at Taylor..... to eventually grind him down to a late knockout win!
How do you know, this man is definitely too shy to tell anyone about that night when he knocked out George Groves in front of 80 million people at Wembley.
The man's all me, me, me! He's got a big ego but it just makes laugh! I followed his boxing career and loved watching him fight, I forgive him of all these indiscretions!
Yeah carl does have a educated unbiased opinion which I normally agree with. Pauli maliargy also has good opinion on boxing but not sure where he disappeared too
I don't think i would like him personally. I'm not sure why, think he would be a wind-up up. But he's an amazing warrior, and his fight IQ is up there with best. Plus, he's old school and doesn't care what people think of him. So I have a lot of respect for him.
Favourite British Fighter Mr Carl Froch.... a true Gladiator who would fight anyone and slug it out like the wild west.....a huge hole in British Boxing since his retirement and that has never been filled.....Transitioned in commentary seamlessly.... always fair but not afraid to speak his mind....
Joe would've pummeled him. That's one that got away. The contradiction is lucky he never faced Joe his legacy would've been ruined. Love how I've just found out the contradiction has how own channel. Fuck koogz.
This is becoming one of the best boxing channels on RU-vid. Can’t beat a bit of straight talking with no bullshit! It’s hard to disagree with anything Carl has said and it’s nice to see him smile with those new gnashers 🥊🥊🥊
Brilliant channel this. Froch was an unbelievable fighter. Great time’s watching him fight on TV. Imagine wearing your Apple Watch back when he was fighting! Heart rate through the roof! 😅
Great channel, I respect views from a real boxer. Was fortunate to be served a pint by Carl in The Engine house about 20 years ago, while playing there in my band.
Enjoying these Carl. Miss the days of following you with the Froch Army around the World. Helsinki was the standout, just because it was like being in Rocky 4. Living with the wife and family in Slovakia now 🥊 Danny #frocharmy
Love the shout out for Naz. So many British boxers cite him as inspiration. Regardless of how his career may look on paper now, his impact on British boxing was astounding.
Naz was magic. Entertaining with a big punch and loads of skills. I think a lot of people love Naz but sadly there are others who hate him because he was a cocky muslim. Luckily his career was before 9/11 but I think some people are prejudice but wont admit it.
Just found your own RU-vid Channel Carl. Actually prefer this format to you being interviewed. Very genuine and insightful. Would love more fight breakdowns and stylistic lessons
Just found this and absolutely love the content Carl so thank you. I love your honesty about your own career and ability as well as the unbiased opinions you offer on other fighters. Looking forward to the future episodes. 👍
A few years back my Wife worked in the upper class lounge at Virgin Atlantic. You gave her £25 to get a gift for our newborn. Just wanted to say thanks for that Carl 😉
Absolutely bang on the money with the Usyk Chisora fight. And I don’t think Fury-Usyk happens until June. First video I’ve seen of yours and it won’t be the last! 👍
i do remember walking in to McDonalds after the Groves fight i did not see you until coming out i did look twice you was with your family i give you the peace sign Nottinghams glad to have you.🇬🇧.
Absolutely spot on with everything you said Carl. Think most, if not all fans would agree with you on the Fury/Usyk situation. White Collar Boxing event next Saturday in Long Eaton raising money for mental health/suicide. Think you met a few of the lads on the 5k run you did in Nottingham not too long ago. Still the Sheriff of the City of Nottingham Carl 'The Cobra' Froch. 4xWorld Champion. Legend!!! 🥊💙🥊
Your allot more clever, more smarter and more human….than what I initially thought. Well done, and great ambassador for British boxing. A secret Gem, in actual fact. Your videos and opinions just don’t come out fast enough. I think I’ve got to like you more after….than when you was a boxer
Thought same about Usyk v Chisora, he was holding back trying not to scare off Joshua, and as for Naz, he was amazing, unorthodox, charismatic, skillful, powerful, the most unique talent, he tried to ko Barerra the whole fight in his last one, went for it, wish he won that fight would've got more of him, he stuck with his word, legend, as is the Cobra, enjoyed your fights too, low guard big punch 👊 🏴👍
@@munchyman6898 naz done well to get as far as he did to be fair if he didn't hit as hard as he does probably wouldn't have got past kelly. His defense was poor but he was quality to watch
Hi Carl, can you tell us about your boxing journey from the first day that you went to a boxing club right up until turning professional ? Also where did you get your boxing style from ? plus the edges that you built into your style of boxing too ?
Everyone should remember that we are generally hearing only Oleksandr Usyk side and it’s being believed and to be fair it could be 100 % true, however there are always two sides!! 🤔Usyk didn’t really deal with Chisora like Fury did - that’s a fact ! And if people are honest AJ lacks several qualities- STAMINA, CONFIDENCE, BOXING IQ (he tried to outbox Usyk twice 🙄) - REMEMBER TYSON FURY EXCELS IN ALL THESE AREAS - TF is going to demolish OU 🇬🇧🇬🇧🥊🥊🇬🇧🇬🇧
I think fury with the added weight + kronk style will struggle to land on such a mobile opponent like usyk. He's fought Whyte, wilder and chisroa. 3 plodders, easy to hit. I think usyk boxes him up and outworks fury. If he can keep the pace for 12 without slowing down late, I have him winning on points. Dont see either getting a stoppage. Wallin showed fury has problems with southpaws.
What a fighter Carl Froch was never in a boring fight, chin of steel really tough man. I have a question though, is there anyone you have sparred or watched spar who was special but didn’t actually fight or couldn’t fight professionally? I used to do a bit of amateur boxing and there was a kid who knocked lumps out of the whole gym but couldn’t ever officially fight because he was blind in one eye.
Tyson is such a fraud! 🦆 He should vacate the WBC belt, so the HW division can move on. & just to ‘exhibition’ fights. When Bowe ducked Lennox Lewis at least he had the decency to vacate the the belt!
I like Carl Froch. Not only was he a great champion with the heart of a lion, but he is also an independant thinker who is not afraid to speak his mind which takes real courage these days. Good for you Carl!!
Yeah, Usyk was definitely holding back vs Derek. I've watched it back a couple of times and I'm convinced. The Fury family know boxing and they'll know how good Usyk really is, which probably explains why Tyson doesn't seem so confident during all this build up.
Long after we're all dead and gone, whenever some crank argues that Fury's the best of all time, boxing historians are going to laugh and say, "But he only fought two arguably elite guys his entire career--and one of those guys didn't know how to box."
Hi Carl followed your career and saw you fight on a few occasions. Brilliant fighter. I came across this channel and have subscribed. Come on the cobra 🐍
Totally agree with Usyk not going out of second gear against Delboy. It definitely helped set up the AJ fight as I'm convinced AJ thought it was going to be a fairly straightforward fight against Usyk.
Enjoying the channel Carl. Don't always agree with you, but 100% agree with you about the usyk chisora fight, I said straight away that usyk would never show his hand with AJ watching. Usyk moved totally different against AJ than he did with Chisora. Usyk in my opinion wanted to test himself in a bit of a brawl with a heavyweight. And that's what he knew he'd get with chisora, knowing full well he would outbox him comfortably.
Good, balanced commentary. One might expect it from a champion boxer, but really many just opt for open bias because they are mates with whoever they are talking about. Carls evenness only adds to his credibility in the commentary arena!
Keep up the show Really like your smooth commentary I like the way you said, for fury to keep his big mouth shut Well, you really didn’t say that but that’s what I say Thanks, Champ
Nice speech from Carl froch ..I knew who he was going say Roy Jones is number 1 also knew he was going to mention the prince naz ..I was boxing myself in school boy finals ..I'm 47 now same age as Carl and very nearly boxed the prince in a semi final..I was probably lucky the weight was out ..I still did well having 38 fights from 12 year old to 17 👌
Froch I've got a bone to pick with you regarding mentioning 80,000 @ Wembley constantly after you told me you'd stop , Joking mate good video keep em coming. One question for future videos: What's your biggest career regret? If any
Great vid Carl, I used to have Greavsie in Newark coach me a few years ago when I lived down in Long Bennington, he's a lad, also Dean Sugden in Newark for a while, keep the videos coming like your style, I've been into watching you fight for years since we saw a tv doc about you training in Tenefire. Cheers...
Tyson once said ( in reference to Wilder vs AJ negotiations) if two boxers want to fight, they’ll fight for 50-50 .. When boxers don’t want to fight, they’ll argue over splits and use that as excuse “
Carl's got to be one of the best pundits and speakers of any of the retired boxers - articulate, fair, not afraid to speak his mind and talk openly and honestly about his thoughts on the matter unlike some of the company men who are blatantly biased towards whoever is associated with their employers/mates.
