usyk and lomachenko are prolific, the amount of title fights both of em have fought already is crazy, they fight the best they can get at any given moment, actively challenging themselves over and over again, both moving up through the weights trying to get as many belts as possible, their work rate is insane, they've both lost money serving their country ffs. They have credibility through the roof, on on the other side u've got these peddlers spittin venom everywhere, excuse after excuse. Usyk signed with that company after the talks broke down bcoz of fury throwin his bag around instead of preparing himself.

People were loosing patience with Fury well before the Usyk negotiations. He retired years before even being a champion when the Haye fight fell through. When he won the belt from Klitchko he held up the division, dodging a rematch for over a year before retiring. When he won the belt from Wilder, he again wasted over a year in the courts trying to get out of the contractually agreed rematch. When he has no title, he'll fight anyone but once champion, its just a pantomime.

Fury didn't fight Usyk earlier this year because Fury didn't want to fight Usyk. Sugar Hill said it himself, he was never asked to train him for the April fight, he wasn't in camp with him. He said that 4-5 weeks out from the fight date. Did Usyk pull out? Yes. But was Tyson Fury actually preparing for it? No. That then begs the question, why did Usyk back out of negotiations? Because he had had enough of Fury's games and being low-balled. Dan Rafael says inside sources with the negotiations told him that Usyk was happy to accept 30% in the 1st fight if the winner got 70% in the rematch, but that Fury's side didn't want to budge on the rematch being 50/50. Essentially, Usyk was happy to take a smaller slice of the pie in the first instance if it meant that he could get the lion's share in the rematch - only if he won, mind you - and Fury and his lot didn't want it. That, especially with Tyson then saying there should be no rematch (ie he would only be able to get a one-time 30% cut, so not even the 50% cut offered for a rematch) basically told Usyk that Fury was playing hard-ball and - given that we know he wasn't in training - it's clear to see why. To act like Usyk then saying "fine, we'll do it in Saudi where I won't get low-balled" is somehow a bad-guy or is what stopped the fight from being made is being disingenous. Fury stopped the fight being made because Fury put Usyk in a position of either selling himself short or saying "sod dealing with you, it'll be in Saudi" - and he did it on purpose.

not sure how frank can say AJ is inactive, he fought Usyk the second time in august, had a few months off fighting while he got a new trainer, went into a fight with franklin early this year, hes about to fight again in august and a good chance he fights in december too, that'll be 4 fight in 16 months. Furys foight twice since october 2021 (21 months) and one of them was basically a sparring session against a guy with 13 losses and furys supposed to be the champion. hardly comparable to me.
