I heard a pop where my HT/handheld radios were charging, I found the lithium-ion battery in my Tytera MD-380 HT expanded to the point of popping open it's plastic casing. Let me know what you think.

Damaged, defective and recalled lithium-based batteries are hazardous and require special handling. Do not place them in the trash as they could cause a fire in the garbage truck or at a collection site.
