Yin-Yang is from Chinese philosophy, yes.. it encompasses all things in life, not just a balance of mac and fem in an individual, as far as I understand. Also 'absorb' here refers to a karmic energy exchange triggered by an encounter with someone. @@lightbending yes i am aware of the karmic energy in the readings but in this particular case it is about finding the balance within yourself and becoming a wholesome being. And you are right, this philosophy ( not only chinese but comes from other cultures too, like indians have their philosophies which is basically the same as chineses ) is universal and goes beyond the masculine and feminine principle. Like becoming whole with the creation itself, going beyond the duality to attain freedom, nirvana, bliss etc. whatever you call it, means the same thing. Attaining a higher consciousness, becoming wiser, spiritual evolution.

But your aura does absorb energy. Our light bodys (different from our soul. Its more our astral form.) Also absorb energies our physical bodies use. This tracts with esoteric and earth based shamanistic teachings like the red path, druidism, and hedge magic aka non wiccan witchcraft or real witchcraft. Eastern philsophy like Zen is different. New Age Spirituality has a couple different thoughts. You have the Delores Cannon cult which I dont agree with I think on some topics she was influenced by trickster energy. The concepts of twin flames, light workers, and starseeds there was some information withheld when she made those teachings. Thoth didnt guide her. Thoth has issues with those teachings. Hermes disavows. Messenger angels side eye it. And her teachings are focused on romantic relationships and confuses things because its a hodge podge of different beliefs. The delores cannon folks take earth based shamanistic ideas and hermetic ideas and muddy the understanding imo. Then you have the Deepak Chopra/quantum idealist branch. Which is centered on a relstionship with the self (ego and self two different things) and the self and soul also two different things. The celestine prophecy also falls into this school of thought. And that goes into detail how our auras radiate our moods and how we absorb those moods. Then you hermeticism/universal laws which is everything is energy. Quantum mechanics can be used to explain it. We absorb other peoples projections on us. Divine masculine and feminine are concepts direct from earth based shamanism. The spiritual practice thats my personal foundation. Real ancient witchcraft (wicca isnt that btw) , druidism, and the red path(native belief and it varies tribe to tribe so its something native americans named for that reason) specifically witchcraft and druidry teaches the divine masculine and feminine energys flow all around us in paths called ley lines. Energy has a fluid aspect to it. It flows through us and is in us in this way but doesnt originate inside us. Im not claiming that my truth is the absolute truth. But I think its close to it and my guides have been teaching thats what my ancestors were taught and continued to teach. And yes it is about balancing these energies and aspects of ourselves. But we do absorb other peoples energies. Some of us transmute it and give back the transmuted energy without adding our own. Some of us do this as it is how we survive and thrive. But that gets into true energy vampirism. Which isnt a parasitic practice. Its just thats what the uninitiated calls energy parasites. This is a complex topic with multiple schools of thought.

@@HermeticJazz hmm, yes there are many theories as well as ancient teachings around the world some are closer to the truth, some of them are just distorted and made up, it's up to the person what to believe, which path to follow! Simply i wanted to address specifically twin flame concept because it was the topic of the content. There is a concept about tantric sex which is connected with twin flames coming together, balancing, the feminine and masculine within the self and becoming whole which has nothing to do with energy vampirism or absorbing others energy. I felt the importance to address this specifically because this process is the exact opposite of taking energy, or looking for an energy source outside of yourself. You sustain and balance your own energy in a true twin flame connection not take or absorb from others. Also i agree we absorb energy whether positive or negative from our environment, we can transmute and cleanse them or allow those energies to affect us but when it comes to sexsual aspect of it, no it's not sexsual exchange! You get what i am saying?

@@ElizIsa-lj9lx the thing is I dont believe twin flames exist. I think its trickster energy. Its too easy for energy parasites to use. Energy parasites has used the concepts to destroy functioning marriages. Because that tool is built into twin flame ideology. I think its taking the idea soulmates and combining it wirh zen and steals from other esoteric teachings and distorts it. The twin flame example of divine feminine and masculine is a distortion from the ancient knowledge and teachings on that subject. Thoth hates it for some reason. And Hermes says its not from eros or aphrodite. And I was giving you esoteric examples of teachings where absorbing others energy is a thing. We are all recieving different messages. The same words you heard doesnt mean the same to me. We all are on different levels of the spiritual journey. The karmics an empath encounters is typically where the redistributed energy comes from, like connecting with someone creates a bridge for energy exchange and depending on choices made, one can walk away having cut cords and stayed high vibe while the other stews in resentment and ends up sacrificing their divinity to the one who stayed in high vibe. Those frequencies can be rejuvenated again but for that connection it's possible to give it all to the other by stubbornly choosing to stay in their low vibe resentment instead of forgive and release the negative for recycling. I'll have to meditate on the concept so if it comes up in the energy again I can address it in a more comfortable way haha

@@Unicorns111 to go a bit more into it .. one and the other are karmic for each other, meant to learn a karmic lesson from the encounter. This also means the other could well also be an empath, even if a "dark" empath. If one learns their lesson and moves forward, they release the old toxic energy and it is expelled from their life. If one doesn't learn, instead staying in the old cycle, then the toxic energy stagnates around them while the more resilient and forgiving energies are expelled. There is also a degree to which 'lack mindset' comes into effect. If one is in lack mindset, they fail to see how there is enough lightness for both parties; if one has instead been manifesting abundant mindset, they are capable of seeing how there is enough light energy for both/all parties. It's entirely about choices and mindset when it comes to karmic lessons, and I'm not intending to demonise any karmic person - we are all karmic for others in different ways

@@lightbending well said to you too! Haha! Those additional comments actually brought more depth and clarityto this discussion as I think people should know this that there's two types of empaths. Narc can be an empath and just lack the feeling part but he would know that the typ. Empath can feel others energy more and so most likely that's how they attract to each other. I am pretty new to this so the thoughts are still forming as I'm typing but ur additional comments definitely outlined more of the relationship dynamic that I was a bit reducing to bullet points.
