It’s great your son is so interested since history especially of the German population is written from history. As they have destroyed so much with still today so much hidden. It’s great to see children involved Sinatra’s of sitting in front of a screen.
@@WW2HistoryHunter This was great in all aspects of adventure, history, artifacts, scenery, and guest ducks viewing the surface and underwater operations! What a fun filled and enjoyable video with interesting WW2 action facts! Best of wishes to the Team!
I hope he will learn even more in the future and he is so enthusiastic that is really is a pleasure to do this. Thanks a lot Penny for comment and for watching.
I really enjoy what what you are doing here. I never heard of the FiFish until I stumbled on your videos. Being an old SCUBA diver from the '50's, I can really relate to those underwater scenes. I don't dive anymore so your videos are the next best thing. I'm also a "student" of WW2, not an admirer of the Nazis, but of Churchill & the allies. But I do have a great interest in the German war machine & politics. Thank you again for all that you & Eli are doing. John
Good evening WW2HistoryHunter team, a well-known YT channel worldwide. The location is still a bigger military stronghold than expected. The submarine base has apparently been very important. Respect that you will search for underwater history in the snow together with EA during the winter.
Thanks for the video HH and EE. I love the history of U boats and always willing to learn more about the life of the crew when they were not at sea, this place is awesome and can't wait to see more studies on this area!!😎🦆🦆🦆🦆🇬🇧🇺🇦
A wonderful Kriegsmarine location, can't wait to hear the stories you have learned from the residents there.such amazing things there on the seabed especially that boat. Such a pity you lost that bottle but there seems to be lots to still find. Well done on the cell phone detecting EE. Greetings to you all.
If only half of what a son of a eyewitness says is true then there could be some rather spectacular history to be found there. Thanks Beverley for being here with us and greetings from us.
Another thumbs to you and EE with all the effort and I sense joy in finding all these artifacts from the Kriegsmarine. This means with out a doubt you soon be back further exploring and sharing with us... Thank and be well and be safe my friends..
SNOW!!!! I love snow...the water was absolutely clear; I could see so many things. Would love to see you investigate the whole area, that would be AWESOME!!! Glad you did see and recover that cell phone and EE getting it back to its owner. Well done. Also enjoyed seeing the ducks.....Loved it! Can't wait to see what lies ahead
I’m on lunch at work seen the video pop up I couldn’t wait to watch it ! So I watched it . Other people at the table watched it also ! They really like as I did ! Thanks ! Tell EE we enjoyed hearing him there with you !
Your getting to be very good with that Fifish ! was fiddling with a new metal detector today when I saw notification of your new video. sounded like a win/win to me. Always great stuff.
I don't know of anyone who gives history away like you do. Much appreciated. Do you have a photo of the U boat you served on? Looking forward to seeing more.
If we are lucky i will actually take my supporters onboard one of the subs i served on. Will get back to that later. More to come Robert and thanks for your great support.
These underwater adventures turn up some interesting things. I always believed that everything needs to be investigated no matter how wild the story may be. I continue to try and see how much I can see on the screen while you’re search. Eagle Eyes is a good lad for finding the owner of the phone and returning it. Many people wouldn’t do that. All this new equipment is really going to expand your search for history.
7:57 THERE IS SOMEONES IPHONE IN THERE!! right side of picture! Can you go to the BIG island as there will most likely be FULL of 'rubbish tip' items on the bottom! From the U boots ! This is a marvellous tool for History Hunting and small adventures! EXCELLENT.
First of all thank you for your service as a sonar operator in the Navy. I don't know what country but anyone willing to give thier life for thier country is a very special person. You guys hit the jackpot in that location. I wish there was more I could do to help you. It looks like you have great supporters. That ROV is proof and your camper. Good luck in future hunts. Hi Eagle Eyes I hope your having fun with the model. Give it a good name like the frown buster or something cheesey like that. We'll see you in the next video. Happy History Hunting 😁
You are a great member of our team and we are honored to have you coming along my friend. This place is very exciting and we will look into it more for sure and who knows what we can find there. The Kriegsmarine history is very interesting and so many locations to dig into. EE has soon finished up the model and we will show that soon. Thanks and be safe.
@@WW2HistoryHunter when I get my dragster Finished is it ok to put your channel name on the back of it? It's going to be a year or so until it's done. I just bought the car. I have to weld a tube chassis but have to find out the specs on the whole thing so I pass inspection.
Just an idea.. If you are operating from a pier or jetty then you could lower a basket on a rope to drop finds in to. It would save time surfacing every time you find something. You could attach a glow stick or waterproof strobe to it to make it easy to find.
That's so cool that you were a sonar operator! It looks like there are many things to discover on the bottom of the sea, what a great location! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Some worthy adventures from the past are coming soon! Great work and can’t wait to see what you’ve manage to fish out of the water! Be safe always and keep healthy.
Another wonderful site, full of history. Look forward to seeing even more from this Kriegsmarine harbour. Stay safe and well my friend, and good hunting to you and EE
@@WW2HistoryHunter Good evening to you all again, I've taken note on the climate, try not to drink caffeine especially those energy drinks, sure they work but when you start driving, get warm you'll get sleepy driving then BAM, crashed off the road. I'd bring hot chocolate, oatmeal bars, crackers, Gatorade and military MREs your pack, get a U.S. LC1 medium pack, emergency items in the outer pouches, a wet weather bag in the main compartment with spare socks, foot powder ,spare gloves. You can also get a single man floater wader hunters use ,an inflatable ring with waders all in one. Louisiana is mostly wet lands down south, those things are priceless in water fowl hunting
Not sure why, but I am fascinated by the WW2 U boats. All that Au de cologne is a good sign that submariners lived there, no doubt to try and hide the smell of not being able to shower onboard
They probably did repairs on the boats when they were back at the base and a lot of the debris are from repairs they made and the damage parts discarded into the harbor.
Wow, that is definitely a wrecked boat of some kind laying on the bottom. The weather, tides, and currents, have taken their toll and scattered it around but wouldn't it be awesome if this was the German boat that got attacked? Maybe it was already sinking when they towed it back in, and just stripped it of what the could and let it sink. Great work with the Fifish both of you. Quite amazing how much more it has brought to the team. Looking forward to what else you found at that location. Cheers to you all!
We are in full research mode for more info on that episode and if this could really be that vessel. Would e so cool if it was. The ROV is a great tool for us and we love to take you with us down into the deep and explore Peter :) Thanks and be safe.
What if you used something like an old school fold up crab trap with a small float tied foot above trap so you can find it easily on the bottom? Then you could make a few trips with treasures then pull up with a light chain or cable so it all sinks to keep it out of your way.
Getting good with the fi-fish aren't you? Too bad about the bottle. I can't wait to go back and see what else you both can find. That definitely looked like a boat of some sort. Thank you for taking us along. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you and I wish you all the very best. Take care and stay safe. 🎄💖💯
An another awesome adventure ❤️ The sound effects from Eagle Eyes are always hilarious 😂 He must be having such a great time exploring, adventuring and learn from you and the experiences that you are giving him. 😁🙏
Hello friend! I have really missed you guys. I've been around from time to time, but not as often as I'd like. Its been a strange time.. I'm back and happy to see such great diacoveries.
My friend, y'all may want to take a separate bin, maybe with a rope down as you're using this fifish. You could drop what you find and draw it up separately and keep hunting for other items.
Great location. It is amazing where you can find iPhones. New grippers are in the production schedule. What about a surface ROV with a sonar like the U.S. Navy? You can program the coordinate path and do the whole bay. Stay safe no swimming this time of year. Happy holidays to you and the family.
Well i guess that could be interesting but dont know how it will be if there are items and stuff down there. But would be interesting to look into later. Thanks William and greetings from us.
This place would be of particular interest to you HH being an ex U-Boat Sonar Operator. I bet you took part in some of those celebrations 🍾 😏 and have some stories to tell. EE sure knows how to check out the ROV in preparation. Pretty soon he will be taking over HH. Too bad you broke the perfume bottle Oh well, there's always next time. You have quite a collection of bottles. I was surprised to see the Nivea bottle as that's the skincare I have been using for years. Didn't know that the company was that old. Excellent product. Lots more to see there. Will look forward to your next revisit. Again thanks for taking us.
Well life in a sub can be pretty tough so free time on land will be used to its maximum :). EE is training to become a very good ROV pilot and there are plenty more details to find down there for us next time. Thanks Laura.
I think the boat at 15:50 is a smaller wooden fishing boat. Smaller than the picture shown at the end. Heavy timber frames. You appear to be hovering over the engine, the not-88mm barrel is probably the exhaust. You can see what might be the propshaft running from the engine to the to right. Scale is hard to judge but I'd guess about 40 foot long? It may very well have been used as a guard boat, but I don't think it's the one pictured. Glad to hear you're getting a boat. Will you also get a sonar system? Have a look at the AdventuresWithPurpose channel and see how detailed their system is.
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IF THAT STORY YOU HEARD AT THE END OF THE WAR IS TRUE , BUT GREAT LOCATION AS ALWAYS , MUST BRING BACK MEMORIES OF YOUR DAYS IN A TIN CAN 🤣🤣 MY DAD WAS A FLIGHT DECK ELECTRICIAN ON A AIRCRAFT CARRIER 👌👌
A beautiful harbour for a German U-Boat Storage facility and crew recreation island. I think that the ducks were checking out all the activity. You do have an excellent set up with the FiFish V6S and OPSS power station. Curious to whether the wreckage is a Vorposten Boat destroyed by the allied forces. That place is amazing. Hope you have enough for a rubber dingy soon. :)
There were many birds there and some actually attacked the rov or at least tried to. We are currently digging into the wreck origin and will show more later :) Thanks Laura.
Awesome work and location!( as always!) Let me guess on part 2, youve heard where the allies dumped in the water all the surrendered German equipment? (I remember about 20 years ago a big stash of helmets were discovered buried in the sand next to a bunker in Norway, but i couldnt afford the prices asked😭!)
Well actually we have found a Marine binoculars but that was like 20 years ago and i dont have any pictures of it. I gave it away to a elderly man who`s father was a German captain on a large vessel during WW2. Thanks for watching.
I can hardly wait till a year from now when I dare say you will have your own sub for Eagle Eyes and yourself. It is the next logical step. Your own deep sea sub. The sea does call to you.
