Looks absolutely great bro 👍🏻 love the maturity of your garden. The tetraphanx is just amazing 🤩 I agree about the that canna will be looking out for one of these myself looks lovely 😀
Beautiful garden! your videos will help me a lot when growing colocasias :) We have very warm summers here in the center of Europe, hopefully it will be successful! thank you for watching and excellent verbal support! :)
Another great walking talking video. Interesting that even though we went down to -11 all three of my salvia Amistad came back, must be my sandy soil. Looking forward to seeing your new gazebo 😀
Cheers Diane. That’s interesting info about the Salvia Amistad. I didn’t realise they could survive the low temps you had. Mine are in a raised bed so drainage is quite good. This is why it’s always hard to talk about hardiness as it’s down to so many variables. Cheers
Totally agree with you about the enclosed effect. My garden is similar in that the middle is left to lawn, but I don’t have the height you have yet. Lamorran has the big Butia in the lawn.
Cheers for the comment Richard. Yeah some of my favourite gardens always feel like you have a canopy of plants above. In a jungle style garden this is a must but in a more tropical style garden open spaces are fine but I still want to be a little more immersed in the plants. Something to work on. Cheers
Great video - thanks for taking the time to put it together. Do you have a video of how you take cuttings of the luxuriant? Do I need to cut the leaf stem or the main centre stem. It's my first year with them and would love to probergate.
Hi and thank you. Begonia Luxurians are really easy from cuttings. Just cut the stem below a leaf node it’s about 6 to 8 inches of stem. Reduce the leaves to about 1 leaf and then put in a glass of water on a warm windowsill. Change the water every few days. Once you have some good roots pot up in a smallish pot with a free draining mix to start with until the root fill the pot. These plants like humidity so avoid windows with radiators under them. Cheers
I actually like the open space it draws you down to find any hidden places. Hope the thatched gazebo works out,it will make a great addition to the garden
@@tikitropicals65 Ouch. I translated the name from polish the straight way. I do not know the right english one... The latin is phormium tenax. I hope you will get what I mean. 😉
@@michazpuszczy1034 yes. Phormium Tenax is correct. I have a few in my garden and I have never protected them. Most winters they are fine but In really cold winters they do get a bit damaged but they have always recovered for me. Thanks.
