If anyone is still interested in the background of the song’s name in 2021 : in the novel of Agatha Christie « And Then There Were None », U.N Owen is the name of the murderer of the Soldier Island. It’s a word play as U.N Owen can be read as « Unknown ». Since Flandre is unknown to everyone, and she killed people before... plus and tiny easter egg is that Flandre loves to read detective stories, and Christie write detective stories :)
Wow, it's seem as ZUN really enjoy stories and poems. I am not so into his creations, but I searched about those which interest me and there is a lot of references to novels and stuff, really cool. Really nerd.
the only thing thats hard about it is the hit box being so fuckin small and some of the other modes like blue mode that makes me stress but it’s no match for the real bullet hell
@@theproblemmustbeinyourpant5910 Funny thing is, ZUN (The creator of Touhou and the one who does everything) knows absolutely nothing of music theory besides some little things he learnt in some trumpet classes he took as a little kid in elementary school, the dude is just a genius.
@@BelugaDelphine being a virtuoso is more about being able to masterfully play music, but being a good composer requires a very different set of skills, though it isn't rare for genius composers to be able to play very well
I love the way you arranged this. This is beautiful! Now do one that’s less known to those outside the fandom, like “Onigashima in Fairyland” or “Legend of Aokigahara”
Hearing it simplified to the point of being actually playable makes me realize just how wonderfully complex the original is xD. Would love to see this in Impossible.
And this is the last we would ever see of the Touhou arrangements. I know others have basically arranged literally every song, but I was looking forward to seeing what SMB could bring to the table.
Fun fact: this doesn't sound exactly like the original song not because the og song uses a synth but because ZUN detuned his own piano on purpose so the notes will sound "strange" or "unpleasant" that way representing flan's decent to madness
@@lambdadelta821 Yeah, after doing a quick looksie at midi recreations and files, I am not too sure why most of the EoSD soundtrack isn't in 440, but it just isnt tuned to what we expect normally. You can even see a music teacher sort of get thrown for a loop when he wanted to play along to some chords of the EoSD soundtrack and he had to retune his guitar, only to have to retune it again right after, since the next track was also tuned differently. Its probs why the EoSD soundtrack just sounds so different than the rest of the Touhou tracks, its instrument selection and odd tuning with general experimentation with dissonance, makes it feel super different and oddly charming to me.
Anything from Sabaton would be pretty neat to hear, though I personally would love to hear "Cliffs of Gallipoli", "The price of mile" and/or "A lifetime of war" the most.
This video got me into Touhou because this sounded so good and I wanted to see what it actually was. Thank you (even though the community absolutely despised undertale [which I like]).
@@longlivethe9989 There's been quite a bit of elitism from the Touhou community about Sans' battle. Which is clearly understandable, because if you listened to some parts of the UT fandom at the time, Sans was the hardest thing ever, and some UT fans attacking the Touhou fandom over Bad Apple like they did over Stronger than You and Steven Universe definitely tilted some touhou fans who would respond with things like "you call THAT hard ? Try any stage 6 boss"
I would love to hear a Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke and a Entrusting this World to Idols ~ Idolatrize World cover from you guys as well, hopefully.
