July is on pace to be the hottest month ever recorded, and the impact of the soaring temperatures is being felt across the globe in massive heat waves, wildfires, flooding and more. On Thursday, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said the world has entered the "era of global boiling," and President Joe Biden gave a major speech to unveil new measures to combat the crisis but resisted calls to declare a climate emergency. David Wallace-Wells, an opinion writer for The New York Times and a columnist for The New York Times Magazine, says the world is not moving quickly enough to phase out fossil fuels, and even some of the progress that has been made is easily erased by massive wildfires like those burning in Canada right now. We also speak with Dharna Noor, fossil fuels and climate reporter at The Guardian US_ who wrote an exposé on "Project 2025," a right-wing plan to dismantle environmental policies and many regulatory protections if a Republican takes the White House in the next election. She calls the document's drafters "a who's who of the far right."

The US will drag out their monopoly of the global Reserve currency for as long as possible and because of this the US will continue to be corrupted which will erode them from within. I know several far right wingers with no education who believe that taxes are the answer. I try to explain that science has the issue, science has some answers, and that their poor feelings are hurt only when they hear that it may take money to solve the issue. All they do is run around crying OMG OMG TAXES WILL SOLVE THIS... RIGHT? and laughing at them does not seem to help. They're loud and proud about their ignorance.

The homeless and climate control are both important matters for the U.S. government to take actions and deal with. They are not mutually exclusive. They can be dealt and worked on at the same time. Why doesn’t the U.S. take lessons from China who had made tremendous contributions in the area of using renewable energy, improving air quality, promoting the use of clean energy in practical applications such as EV, clean-energy public transportation and infrastructure buildings. Most of important of all is to take strict measures to deal with those who don’t compliant with the clean energy policies. Because of this, the pollution and environmental concerns in China have improved tremendously. I was shocked by improvement in air quality ads soon as I got out of the airport. For first time in a long time I could and enjoyed the clean air and clear sky in Chinese cities when I was there in 2019. 100% public transportation including taxis and high speed rail are all using renewable or clean energy. Government incentives for people using non-gasoline cars. All new buildings must be equipped with solar power panels to generate electricity for its own consumption whenever it is possible.

It turned out that BBC, Spiegel and many "major" outlets were reporting ground temperature, even though all the typical weather reporting we see on the weather news is air temperature. I took a lot from this. There was a heatwave in the mid-late 90s. Over 700 people died in Chicago (mostly elderly). They never refer to that heat wave, which at the time, was the highest recorded on record. The Sun, actually looked 3 times bigger in the sunset during that summer heatwave, and looked like it was closer to the earth. 'An angry sunset' I thought in my head. The Midwest last week, had a brief 'heat wave,' ONLY because there was so much humidity in the air, which made it FEEL HOTTER, than the GROUND TEMPERATURE. The Midwest felt like that moist heat you mostly find in the South --Louisana heat, I call it, but just for a spell. And now it's a comfortable 80 degrees with low humidity. I had sweat running off my brow at 8:30 in the morning. I could only feel for some of my ancestors who were slaves, who had to toil in that oppressive heat, from sun-up to sun-down. It wasn't just abnormally hot, it was miserably hot. But that level of intense heat, is not typical in this region, and I have gardened all of my life. People who 'play in dirt' will tell you that the climate IS changing, but it's the weather patterns that have changed, which brings on climate change. I have an apple tree that bloomed AGAIN, last week. There were only 5 blooms, but the thing is that fruit trees bloom in the Spring -- not late Summer or Fall, and I've never heard of an apple tree that has TWO bloom cycles in ONE season, and most apples trees are now in the ripening stage at this time of the year. I don't doubt there's some propoganda at play, but that don't take away from the fact, that there is climate change due to man over-polluting our air, water, and land, because man did not take care of the natural resources the Creator entrusted us to. And folks like Trump are still pushing to further deregulate those agencies, which govern how companies deal with their waste products, which destroys the land, water and air. US companies went to third-world continents like Africa, and third-world countries like Indonesiain the 80, and set up shop, where there was NO regulations, and just decimated those people well water, ground water, and lakes. BP and Shell were the main companies contributing to this climate catastrophe we have today. We've gone past the point to repair. It's really just that simple.

This is all nonsense. *It's 29th of July and the past 13 years it was never as cold as right now.* At 10 AM it was 15 Celsius degrees in Ottawa Valley, Canada. At 2PM went up to 18 Degrees. Now, at night it's 8 degrees. However, yesterday and for few days it was around 30 degrees. But, even then 30-33 degrees at summer is not unusual here. *What so unusual about this summer is how cold days can get.* Around the 20th of June I was *still using a space heater and nights,* because the temperature was in between 5-10 Celsius degrees. The bottom line is, I can accept global warming, whatever... What I can't accept is that *climate change is being used for marketing green energy, which is not as clean as it is marketed.* There are lots of problems with it - it is as bad as fossil fuel. One question "if a 20 gram cell phone battery pollutes one square kilometer for 50 years what will the extremely toxic EV batteries do? What will we do with the immense amount of radioactive residue that comes from the refinement of rare earth metals? Perhaps, it is not a question at all, because we'll just ship them to the wastelands of Africa and forget about it?"

My lawn was never as green as this season.* On the other hand climate is always changing that's not the problem. The problem is our stupid response to it. And, by the way, not all good scientists agree with this climate hysteria. There are many who are level headed and deny its human origin. There is no better alternative to fossil fuel. There is no viable plan yet for the disposal of extremely toxic EV batteries. Just as a comparison, *a 20 gram cell phone battery can pollute one square km for 50 years.* Imagine what an EV battery would do. *Wind turbines kill birds by the millions.* Water and offshore turbines do the same to fish and marine mammals. *Scotland cut 16 million trees for wind farms.* Deforestation is the last thing we need. *Cobalt and nickel mining is a terrible humanitarian and environmental disaster.* Rare earth metals extraction is another problem. The Natural Science Museum in Vienna says that *there's only a 15-30 years rare earth metals supply left and after it's gone.* Others say, even if there's enough supply *we may not have enough energy for extraction at a reasonable price.* A Columbia Climate School paper notes that *"The Chinese Society of Rare Earths estimated that the refinement of one ton of rare earth metals results in 75 cubic meters of acidic wastewater and one ton of radioactive residue."* Imagine living besides heaps of miles long radioactive waste. Or, will we ship it to Africa or India? Also, read about *the horrors of the Peñasquito silver mine in Mexico.* Silver is critical to solar panels.

@@domcizek Sure, I can live with the idea of global warming - temperature fluctuates. What I can't live with is partial truths or lies. There's one common theme in between COVID, the Ukrainian/Russian war and climate change - an authoritarian response that does not tolerate dissenting voices. *Authoritarianism often represents itself as the only legit, factual and scientific response - that's why people fall for it.* For example, when there were forest fires in Quebec *Trudeau* said it's because of drought and this will become the new norm. But, this season there was no drought, because precipitation was abundant throughout winter, spring and summer. Or, they promote EVs as a clean alternative to fossil fuel. *What they don't mention is that if a 20 gram cell phone battery contaminates one square kilometer for 50 years, the EV car battery will do incomprehensibly more damage!* By 2030, 13 million car batteries will be disposed of. Rare earth metals are indispensable for sustainable energy products. *The byproduct of one ton of rare earth metal refinement is 75 cubic meters of acidic wastewater and one ton of radioactive waste.* Then, there is the problem of the high toxicity of nickle, cobalt, etc. Where will we dispose the EV batteries and the radioactive waste? Will we ship them to Africa or just dump them at the bottom of the oceans and pretend it never happened? *Deforestation for wind and solar farms is massive - the annihilation of wildlife is colossal.* Windfarms kill birds by the millions - hence they're called bird choppers. I can go on and on... What's disturbing is that *climate activists fail to consider the drastic downside of sustainable energy,* the devastating humanitarian and environmental effects of mining and the loss of biodiversity and ecosystems. *The interpretation of color "green" or "clean" is only a matter of convenience that bares no resemblance to greenness or cleanness.*

In fact for the Europeans it will be even colder because of climate changes and the rise of world temperatures. The warning of the Atlantic Ocean waters will disrupt the Gulf Stream, an ocean current that carries the high temperatures from the Equator to Europe. That's why even though Lisbon is in the same latitude as New York, Lisbon is not as could as NY in the winter... Imagine what will happen in London. At the same time, the nutrients that come with the Gulf Stream feeds fish in the coast of Europe. With its disruption, there will be few fish to feed people in that continent. Also It will mess with raining, agriculture, etc. World climate is like a clock: mess with one factor and the whole mechanism fails. That's the danger. Instead of giving taxpayer money to subsidize fossil fuel industries, take those funds and teach sustainable regenerative agriculture, agro-forestry, diversified crops for food production, and get corporations OUT of the agricultural sector. Agriculture alone, with the uses of chemicals, fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides have caused soil depletion, algae blooms in almost every water system, including the oceans. Regenerative agriculture is fully capable of producing higher quality crops, better yields, more nutritious food and healthier soils and animals. Homes, insulate more, use solar energy for heat, REMOVE all the lawns and asphalt, replace with cover crops that NEVER need mowing, fertilizing, any chemicals. Put in trees for cooling, microparticle removal and healthier air, add fruit bushes, nut trees, maybe a little garden. All these are entirely possible, and much cheaper than buying another lawn mower, more AC units, and we get to have more time, healthier lives. THIS IS POSSIBLE.
@ninemoonplanet
@ninemoonplanet Год назад
Farmers, please understand, regenerative agriculture is going to be far LESS expensive, you won't use the machinery anywhere as much, and you can produce diversified crops, higher quality crops and higher income levels. See Dr. Elaine Ingham videos to understand, see results, and learn how to get your land healthier, more productive. Geoff Lawton has less than 100 acres, produces food enough for several families. German farms use agro-forestry, diversified crops to increase the number of foods, products and relieves reliance on single crops.

Climate change, cultural Marxist, and gender lunacy are all being fueled by the same people. IE. GLOBALISTS. They dont care about ANY of those things, they just understand that they can win if keep their potential opponents ( the Human RACE) fighting among themselves as they murder, pillage and steal. They are NOT against oil, they are only against oil if it is controlled by their enemies. They want to destroy western society because in their puny minds they believe we will put up the most resistance. That is why they are fighting a war with Russia while also getting OIL and GAS from Russia. They just get it under a different flag. You know when Standard Oil sold products to the NAZIs under the Portugese flag. They want you obsesesd with something be it porn, aliens, climate change etc. because they do not want people seeing what they are doing. Fortunately, like climate change activists, they are limited in brain capacity and what they thought they could control with money failed. FOOD and ENERGY is the REAL commodity. Without them money means NOTHING. Even if they try to buy it all up, it can still be taken away from them by gun point. So do not believe the media THEY OWN. They will NOT tell you the truth. Reduce it and you will eventually die due to having no plant material to consume, water vapour is hundreds if not thousands of times a greater green house gas, get rid of that and see where you end up. If you don't understand basic chemistry, I suggest you keep your trap shut

I think most people don’t completely understand how much climate change is going to impact them. With most people no longer trusting science, I fear this will be a hard push for some time and we will lose many loved ones without understanding why and that we could have made changes.

we can't do anything but local stuff. plant a lot o f trees, it will make it 10 degrees cooler .

@@christigoth Sure if you stand right under the tree. Yeah it's cooler. But you can't stop the planet from climate change. It has happened since day one. We all would not be on the planet had it not been for climate change. Go back a few years and most of north america would be under ice.

What drives evil in those people name dropped in the 2nd to last segment? It is such a mystery to me that this plain kind of evil just openly exists in our 'enlightened' world

There are no 'enlightened' Oligarchs. That's what I've been screaming since 14yo now at level 50 here we are at the extremes. It was and is still SO radical to say as long as we are out of balance with nature, our literal life sources and forces, we will not know peace. 💜 🐇

They can't balance a budget but they think they can control the weather....hahahahahaha

Actually, they can and ARE controlling weather. Cloud seeding has been in mainstream news outlets. We just choose to shrug our shoulders at it. There are lists as long as your arm of weather modification patents over the years and have been using geoengineering for decades..... yes DECADES.

Apparently Antarctica didn't get the global boiling memo with the coldest minimum temperature for fifty years recorded last winter. Minus 84 degrees

There you get it, as the secretary of UN said: "inbearable". People became inbearable - and the weather too. Everthing in this world is interconnected, as some old philosopher said.

In Argentina (winter there right now) and in Siberia (summer there right now) they have measured all-time record-low temperatures in june and july.

i think thats bad? In Argentina we're experiencing very humid hot days between the shivering cold weather after a summer of incessant heat waves so, climate change is happening.

Yes because there is a place that has cooler then usual tempatures that means that it must be the same everywhere else. There's a little game called peekaboo you cover your eyes and baby thinks it went away you need to try that game.
