I really enjoyed the song, and don't see why she should be embarrassed at all. She reached an audience that didn't know about her, through that video. I had never heard of her til the video went viral. But you are right, once something hits the internet, it's outta your control what others do with it most of the time.

You know, that lady became a joke to alot of people, but I think the video is great and I'll tell you why... she's up there doing what she feels called to do, and lots of people enjoyed it, while not viewing it as a mockery to her. And secondly because of that video a ton of people were introduced to her for the first time, including myself. So way to go Mrs. Ceasar. God bless!
I don't think it was a joke to a lot of people, maybe to a select few. Thanksgiving needed a song and she provided. Obviously, not intentionally, but It is here and God blessed her with it. She can now reach even more people!

Ms. Shirley Ceasar is too old to be pretending. When Wendy said they had gift her for her, SC was excited. Once she saw it was literally a basket with greens and other vegetables (including generic canned vegetables), Ms. Shirley’s face was like “I can’t believe this is what you are presenting me” When Ms. Shirley did not even reach for the basket, I screamed 😆
