@@gothamscholar6384 Pretty sure WW2 was much worse than this, but my god look at the amount of MBTs, IFVs, Choppers, Jets, 200+ stationary weapons & thousands of ground troops...in just like a small district in Paris...like holy balls it kinda hard to imagine this kind scale.
@3D Modeller You don't need to be in a war to know that this is very unrealistic. even though i haven't fought in a war i've done 2 years of Military service.
Russian generals made a big mistake in not talking to some nerds about how to conduct combat operations. Guys, come on, help us, we need your tactical genius!!!
Dont get to conclusions from the russo-ukro war. Only 150.000 russian mil personal involved, meanwhile in the COD scenarios, the whole 2 mil russian armed forces. I dont say its realistical, but Ukraine war is wrong in this terms
we all swallow their propaganda, hopefully they remove Russia and put China/India or a coalition as the main enemy of the US in the new games, the Russians are a joke and seeing them being able to face the US is somewhat insulting.
if you use carpet bombing and artillery shelling in cities against civilians, sacrificing hundreds of civilians to get one military man, as the "enlightened" United States usually does, then Ukraine would be taken in a week
This was the craziest and most fun Modern Warfare game! Old and new characters come in the campaign, the Spec Ops were fun, Infected in Multiplayer was addicting, and Survivals lasted all night with some friends! And the ads with Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington were funny asf 😂 I wish I can go back to when this was released
Watching this made me remember that this was when the COD devs had permission to use the actual names for weapons and also have their manufacturer on the the gun
@@MK-ul2cc So you say this and I'm just thinking how Gun manufacturers made a serious discussion with a game company that wanted to turn their Guns into anime waifus.
Desperate times when you have an AC130 in broad daylight in contested airspace. But damn the ww3 feel this brought was amazing. (As in for an action game and not a real war which would be shitty)
This is definitely one of the better level endings in the MW series. The squad fighting with everything they’ve got to just hold the enemy off, epic music in the background, and finally the Allies realizing they have to do what’s necessary to save the men and they blow the Eiffel Tower. Hell of a finale to this arc of the game
I remember the first time I saw the Eiffel Tower fall. It was the most awe inspiring animation I had seen in a game. COD MW was the first FPS series I played in my life. Till date it is my favourite. I still install it and play it on my PC once in a while. Still feels awesome. Now I just need to wait for the new Modern Warfare game to be released. Super hyped
@@niyatirichhariya7303 At the start of the war ukraine barely had any help besides javelins and some other soviet guns and yet russia failed to take kiev
MW3 had the most action-packed missions that's challenging while being fun to finish in Veteran difficulty. World at War holds the trophy for being a traumatizing nightmare in Veteran with the grenade hell.
13:55 that pilot was so good at flying he was able to alter the molecular structure of his jet so it could pass through the helicopter without crashing!
@@Odah_ Surprised the French aren't mentioned in-game. In a mission in Germany (Berlin, I think) in the same game, the German armor is mentioned multiple times as pushing the ruskies back towards your position.
I remember when I played this game, on this level, I shot the javelin and my rocket hit one of the jets that’s flies over head. I didn’t lock onto it or anything like that but when I locked onto the tank and the missile goes up into the air, that’s when a jet flew right above me and detonated my rocket. The jet kept on flying and I was out of ammo😂
@@rdalybread fck your nostalgia. New game not same game just a little prettier. I bet you enjoy paying for the same iphone every year then complain about it even tho u bought it
@@painandpleasure8704 Agree because every country and ukrainians lost trust to our corrupted government. And now Ukraine slowly turns into North Corea. People cant cross borders to work, because closed them. We're in a mousetrap with corrupted government which is building ROADS instead of thinking how to improve our economy, army, where to settle refugees. Corruption will turn our country in Russia faster then russians.
It’s pretty satisfying to see the older games where you play these plane sections with their trained and assigned soldiers instead of the main character being seemingly trained in driving and operating any gun and any vehicle allied AND enemy spec
the only thing that kind of set me was his lack of air support use to me irl the team struggled but since its a game i guess its for the challenge but well played
As a 7 year old kid, this mission was memorable on how the Eifel Tower came falling down. And how you were able to use an AC-130 with this and in the rabbit hole.
the radio chatter always gave me goosebumps when playing this game back in 2011 , so immersive & memorable , they need to complete the trillogy remaster with mw3.
Hey remember that time in COD that Russia used mass chemical attacks to hit every single European capital and despite that being by every definition of the term a "Strategic deployment of Weapons of Mass Destruction" the West didn't immediately respond with total nuclear war and in fact agreed to return to Status Quo Ante Bellum at the end of the story?
@@MARIETEVIL nah, when I played it the first time I was like wtf dude, mason and the homies did all the dirty work and after almost drowning there is suddenly a huge army of ships celebrating like these mfs did anything, why didn’t they come earlier, smh.
The devs wanted to make a WW3 game in modern times so they had to use what was available. They couldn't make the invader country China because the Chinese government will get pissy and ban their game as well as other games made by the same company. So a retread of the "endless soviet horde sweeping over Europe" trope was about the best they could manage. When they tried to get away from Russia for once with 'Ghosts', the storyline ended up feeling even dumber and less credible.
if you use carpet bombing and artillery shelling in cities against civilians, sacrificing hundreds of civilians to get one military man, as the "enlightened" United States usually does, then Ukraine would be taken in a week
Wish more games would use will fichtner as a voice actor. Perfect for these roles. Ever since black hawk down and Armageddon he shows a commanding presence with his voice
Eiffel Tower fall feels so... dead. No emotions from soldiers. Even simple "wow" ll do. Remember one of the first cod mw2 missions in Afghanistan or whatever country it was? When our bird blew up a building and rangers was like "YEAAA BABY" one of the rangers were even filming this on some old cellphone. And it feels alive. Sorry for bad eng
Well , I think because of the war the Effiel Tower falling wasn't much of a big deal to them , in MW2 the war only started. We've seen what happened to NY in MW3.
as a french seing the eifel tower fall broke my heart, i wish the french army was more present in this game we have very good special force commando hubert and commando kiefer from the commando marine and the GCP
Not known fact that I discovered; you can shoot the buildings around the tower with your rifle and the vehicles that are white when controlling the AC-130
I still can't believe they knowingly dropped the Eiffel Tower into the enemy position. Like that is some Team America stuff, and I love how everyone is high-fiving over leveling a historic landmark.
no matter how many times i watched this and i already play this game like hundred of time this scene still give me chill al over my body watching the Eiffel towers gowing down like that.
Damn this brings back memories. 6 of us went to the midnight launch of this game. I drove my brother and we grabbed food to eat while the game installed. But after that, man. Stayed up til about 6 am playing this. I think we were on like a 25-0 win streak before we finally lost a game. Simpler days back then I wish I could go back sometimes.
LMAO I used to think the Russians actually have the capability to at least emulate some of the feats they performed in MW. Now I don't even think they'll pass through Poland and the Black Sea.
I always loved the missions with the rangers or marines more than the spec ops missions and I guess I could also put it like I fell more like 1 small puzzle piece to a big 360 piece puzzle than 5/7 of a 7 piece puzzle
