Just went through this. It’s pretty cake, don’t do drugs for like a couple months before, make weight, don’t lie about anything, get all ur docs right before you go. Try to sleep before it’s pretty cake. I failed the eye test, have to get the waiver 😢.
I believe they left off the part where you do the duck walk in a room with several strangers in your underwear. No, it is a more invasive, degrading exam than with the family doctor. At MEPS you share a room with a stranger. That too was an unsafe situation. At least that was the case for another military branch years ago.
Hello! . I have a question question. In July of 2020 I had a surgery for my scoliosis because it caused me back pains. I’m at fully healed now and my doctor gave me the clear to do anything with no limitations after I was 6 months post opp. Is it possible I can still get intro the Air Force or try to at least get a waiver?

Why is there the positive assumption that your family supports this decision? Lol I’m 36 and can’t dare tell my parents I want to enlist. I don’t even at home. It’s just this annoying relational dynamic we’ve had my whole life. If I get a green light on my enlistment I can rest assured just like when I was 22 that my parents will be pissed. The struggles of a woman-child. 🙄

Fritz, general requirements to apply to be an Air Force pilot: You must be a US citizen ANY 4 year bachelor degree with at least a 2.5 GPA or higher. Application must be submitted to the board prior to 32 years of age. To qualify you must meet the below qualifications. Be a US citizen or have a valid unrestricted alien registration card from the USCIS with at least 2 years remaining until expiration (You must obtain this status on your own, the Air Force cannot assist you with obtaining it) You cannot be a Conscientious Objector. A conscientious objector is an individual who has claimed the right to refuse to perform military service on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion. Any Law Violations will need to be evaluated. Any use of illegal drugs or misuse of prescription medication will need to be evaluated. You will also have a credit check run looking for delinquencies and overbalanced credit. Be between the ages of 17-39. If 17 you will need parental consent. Also make sure you drink water because they will make you stand there and drink until you are able to pee and I couldn’t do anything else until I peed. Just got outta meps a few weeks ago. There’s multiple branches at meps. It’s not just Air Force meps. It’s meps, so every branch goes there and when your done with the medical section you head over to your liaison for your branch and swear in with everyone as well.
