And, instead of finding renewable alternatives, America was conned by the big petroleum companies to keep funding them to find more sources of oil, gas, and coal, despite the pollution, illnesses, and global warming. Because renewable energy is free, which means lower profits for the petroleum companies.
Renewable energy isn't free, as the generating equipment isn't free. And it still produces a fraction of what non-renewable energy does. A much better use of resources for zero-emission power would be nuclear energy, especially with newer smaller reactors incapable of melting down. But nuclear energy upsets wisdom-challenged people, so we waste money on giant wind and solar farms instead. While this doesn't stop climate change, such an initiative *does* transfer wealth to elites and foreign nations.
It costs more in petroleum to manufacture the 'reusable' equipment than the gas powered machines would expend in their entire lifetime of use. The emissions are just away from your NIMBY yard in a foreign country where little kids mine the lithium and cobalt for you. Yeah, super smart, cucky
