I purchased a 1903 Springfield a few months back. It was manufactured by Remington and manufactured in 1917. I love the gun but I must say I believe the 1903 A3 has a better sight set up.
Yhup. The M1903A3 has a much better rear sight. But still have that ridiculously thin front sight. Great for shooting at the range. Horrible for combat. 🤠
Nice. Cousin to my 1918 Rock Island with 1929 barrel. It was lend-lease to Greece. The bore is frosty, so I never even tried it on paper. I don't expect it to group under 6 MOA. 🤠
I have a Rock Island as well! It was refurbished for WW2, and the barrel is from 1940. And it's a very good shooter, ACCURATE as heck! At 100 yards, I put 4 rounds within an inch of each other on a human silhouette target. About 5 inches, 6 o'clock low from center. Ngl, I was blown away by that cause I've never done that b4 😅. And great shooting!💯 awesome groups! Definitely gotta break mine out again for some practice.
