I don’t think we can send our best equipment to Ukraine. They are not nato yet and some offensive weapons might have sensitive equipment. I read most of the equipment sent to Ukraine is old stock, old enough that they are one generation old. But it would be good if the nato sets up a no fly zone over Ukraine. This would be defensive. And give Ukraine a fighting chance.

Obviously this is not an invasion to occupy. It’s a strategic maneuver (likely started as a successful tactical one). Offensive defense. I has been used way back through history: When a nation has been invaded, it has responded by hitting the enemy on its own soil using ground troops, naval resources, and-the last century-air power. Instead of fighting on your own soil with high cost to your nation’s civilians and material resources, the aggressor more than rightfully gets to take some of that cost instead. The Russian people can choose to end this instantly by withdrawing from Ukraine. But the Russians want war and hence are okay with the cost of war. They should be pleased for getting what they want.

China, Iran, and North Korea helped Russia invade Ukraine so go talk to them if you don't agree with this.

Yet it's fully in keeping with the goal of the U.S./NATO Axis. They're now simply revealing what they've been angling for for decades. And it isn't democracy for Ukraine.

Sure thing: 1) Inflation has literally nothing to do with Ukraine aid. It's a result of Federal Reserve policies during the height of COVID. We could quadruple Ukraine aid tomorrow, or cut it off completely-neither would impact inflation. We aren't printing money and shipping it to Ukraine. 2) Our national debt isn't impacted either. We're not sending Ukraine pallets of cash-we're sending them our own stored vehicles that were collecting dust, then documenting their cost. Then the government pays American companies to manufacture replacement kit for the donated goods-upgraded to modern standard, of course. It's a pretty dang good source of manufacturing jobs

Also we don't really send money, we give the money to American weapons manufacturers and they make the weapons for the US, which then donates the weapons as "aid packages".
