Dieses Video ist der Beweis, dass es zumindest in unserer Galaxis nichts vergleichbares gibt. Aber unser Universum ist gross und die Zeitschienen sind schier unendlich, vieleicht gab oder gibt es Wesen mit annähernd oder ähnlich vergleichbaren Fähigkeiten in der Unendlichkeit. Schade, dass wir es zu unseren Lebzeiten nicht erfahren werden... Die Macht sei mit dir, Gert!

Hallo Gerd, ich könnte dir stundenlang zuhören!! Du spielst die Lieder/Titel mit einer sehr schönen Leichtigkeit, improvisierst sehr schön. Kurz um es wird nie langweilig! Würde mich mal freuen dich in Deutschland an einer Orgel mal zu sehen. An einer könnte ich sogar den Kontakt dazu herstellen und man könnte ein wunderbares Konzert lauschen. 😊👍

Am 25. Mai ist es endlich so weit. Da spielt Gert in der St. Anna-Kirche zu Düren. Ich werde es mir nicht entgehen lassen. Ich hoffe, dass viele deutsche Freunde seiner Musik anwesend sein werden.

I'm torn between St. Baaf's and Liverpool Cathedral for most epic organs, and Gert's improvisation of 'Land of Hope and Glory' on Liverpool's Willis & Sons organ is beyond glorious.

Hallo Gert, Ik volg je al jaren op youtube en geniet steeds meer naar mate je volwassener wordt. Het lijkt wel of je spel steeds voller wordt. Wellicht door het gezinnetje wat je nu hebt met je lieve vrouw en kind. Mooie inprovisaties heb je de laatste tijd gemaakt, ik geniet er elke dag van!!!! Kom eens naar de grote kerk in Vlaardingen voor een concert?. Daar heb ik in mn jonge jaren nog les op gehad van Gijs de Graaf. Het zo'n mooi orgel!! Ik volg je agenda !!! Ga vooral door zeker met je inprovisaties. Ik blijf je volgen!!!!!!!

That's the most confusing looking organ console I've ever seen, but it Gert handles it masterfully, as always! Thank you Gert for a wonderful improvisation!

Well... It looks to me like it has rocker-style tabs for stops, and a total of seven rows of tablets, three of them positioned above each of the stoprails and four set aside above all the stoprails on the left side of the console. I believe the three rows above each stoprail are for setting up three combination pistons on the left side just under the Choir (Manual I.) The four additional rows on the upper left wing of the console are probably the same idea but for setting up the four buttons on the right side below the Choir manual. None of this would be intended to make the organ complicated, but actually to simplify the organist's job by providing the ability to change registrations instantaneously.

Gert improvisation was excellent and the fact that he was his own registrant proves his skills and musicality. It is a compliment when a person is told, "you nailed that performance". I hope you have heard of the expression, "hit the nail on the head"? It was an outstanding performance.😊

Thank you Gert. I enjoyed the rather breezy improvisation that you wove around two very famliar tunes that are among my favorite hymns; Thine Is the Glory and Abide With Me. The Handel tune is rather regal, to me. The melody and chord progressions in Abide With Me which support the melody always have brought comfort to my soul. It continues to speak to me since I was a child. Thanks for continuing to share with us your love of music and for bringing us interesting music played on such historic instruments from a land I can only hope one day to visit.
