Saw them in Cardiff on same zoo TV tour, and they were just as perfect, there is a copy of the Cardiff bootleg on RU-vid but cannot find, any help appreciated
Hands down the greatest live show/tour ever performed. Saw the Zoo TV tour live in Germany ,,,,,, blessed to have witnessed U2 at their peak live performance. The band has been with me for 35 years,,,,,,, and still is. I don't give a f,,, what others may say,,, these guys are my heroes,,
Right there with you. I saw this tour in London when I was 16. It completely blew me away. I have been to a lot of amazing concerts since, but none of them hold a candle to ZooTV. It was breathtaking.
That tour was unreal. Pop took it too another level. Then the had cheek to do a tour with just them and the music. Watch u2 go home from Slane castle. That was their highest point. The greatest band on the planet for 40 years.
Im literally at this concert. Kinda set a HIGH standard for gigs to come. The second gig I went to, I bought a ticket for my little brother and took him to see Slayer. It is one of his fave bands. That was bloody good too :)
My wife and I were sitting right in front of Adam when the Zoo TV tour came to Birmingham AL and I still think it was one of, if not the best, live shows ever. Great memories.
We saw them in Atlanta and then went to Birmingham. Both shows were great, but the Alabama show was a little more memorable due to being outside. It was raining right up to the start of the show, stopped, and then started again after the show ended.
I was at both Sydney Shows. At this concert I was front row directly in front of Adam Clayton's floor monitor. The night before I was also front row except Adam was missing 🇦🇺🥃
I was at this concert right near to where the edge's mic was. This concert was one of the best I've ever seen, and the best I'd seen at the time. I saw Poison, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and though their concert's were gr8, this was something else. I wish they would repeat the Zoo TV (Zooropa) tour so we all could see it again cause it's hard to explain how much fun it was for the crowd.
Mysterious Ways - the most mesmerising performance of any song, anywhere, any time. We saw this show in Leeds and it has stayed with me ever since. Thanks for the outstanding video
ZooTV is just THE SHIT!!! that’s all I can say. Impossible to top, this was just out of this world musically and visually... so much awesomeness will rarely be overcome.
The new ending of the song Edge adds from 08:35 y just pure genius!! No other guitar player can add a simple riff and change a song upside down this way. The first time I heard this ending I had real goosebumps and instantly fell in love (yet again) with Edge's way of playing... absolutely brilliant!!
*That's the mark of a great band* . If they can perform their own songs as good or better live than in a studio, you know they're that d@mn good. If someone can only sound good in a studio with editing and multiple chances to do it over, then you know they're just a face and don't have any real talent behind it.
One of the best concerts ever in rock history . Unique !!!! Broadcasted live to the whole World . The transition to Where The Streets Have No name still gives me goosebumps. What atmosphere !!! people just went absolute nuts. Thank you U2 for the memories ,for two magical nights !!! I will never forget !!! Sydney Football Stadium pulled down , no longer there but rebuilded so this Concert/video is now inmortal. An explosion of music , color, lights, ecstasy and happiness
Metallica and Guns N Roses might have a word with you. Their stadium tour was absolutely insane and they played for years at this time. Metallica's Black Album tour lasted almost 5 years due to all the amazing demand
Tommy Cthulhu , but still!, the musical adventures of zoo tv show a band that was at its best, very hard to follow that act , only they could some day surpass it, but time has run out I guess.
@@tommycthulhu6572 Metallica was popular for about five years and then faded away into obscurity. The Black album is really their only real album. Guns N Roses.... same thing applies. They had a tremendous albeit short run at the top during the late 80's. Neither band is even in the same league as U2. If you want a comparable, how about the *Rolling Stones* ? U2 were the modern equivalent of the Beatles. Their popularity and their longevity is almost unmatched.
My two favorite U2 songs back to back, the band at their best, when they really dominated the face of the earth... those were the days of the greatest tour ever!
With the exception of Prince, all these years and hundreds of gigs later I still recall how amazing it was, in Glasgow, what a spectacle, still my favourite gig. 👌🏻
I was 14 years old when I watched this live on Pay Per View back in 1993 after delivering the papers. ZOO TV is the greatest of them all. There is no comparison!
Son espectaculares U2 en vivo. Su sonido es único. Sin duda una de las mejores giras de U2. Aunque también esta espectacular el álbum Rattle and Hum otra joya de la música.
@@mosesfigueroaful The Beatles did it just fine with Pepper, same with Magical Mystery Tour, as far as character goes. But, U2 did something with their characters that The Beatles did not - they took them on the road and made the show bigger than the band.
@MrRascasseman - One journalist for Time magazine had stated quote: "[In retrospect] It isn't too far fetched to say 'Zoo TV' was the 'Sargent Pepper' of tours."
@@patrickmurphy1803 In 1993, he began dating Morleigh Steinberg, an American professional dancer who was employed by the band as a choreographer and on-stage belly dancer during the Zoo TV Tour.
@@garygibson2412 really, are ye serious, did that really happen? ,is that a fact?,that's amazing if it happened, if it really happened, it could be on that show, fact or fiction no one would ever guess, its just so unbelievable, its nessie territory that just too fantastic to believe
This era was all about playing with moods and themes, I just wish some their more recent albums was as sonically diverse and powerful. U2 where pretty much untouchable at this point. At a time when dance beats ruled the charts, they gave us a glimpse of the future of Rock music. For that they deserve respect.
I watched this concert live on PPV Thanksgiving 1993 and it has been my all time favorite concert ever since. Between the VHS and DVD i've probably watched it no less than 200 times over the years and it still moves me just as much as when I was 16 years old.
Have seen them 4 times in Australia, Joshua tree last year was special. Hope they do a Rattle and hum aswell. No reason why not. We need it more than ever. More than ever
This was U2 at their very best-saw them in Belfast Botanic Gardens 26th Aug 1997 PopMart Tour. We watched from outside the venue as thousands did. People came out of their houses and flats to watch and listen. It was a great atmosphere, the young, the old, and the vaguely curious all watched and sang together-wonderful. Army recon plane flew through the spot lights pointed skywards during Bullet The Blue Sky- weird and yet magical.
The 2 Zoo TV tours were magnificent. I caught the indoor show in San Diego and the Dodger Stadium & Jack Murphy stadium shows. All of them were just awesome. Great memories!
