U2 perform two (at the time) new songs, "Womanfish" and a rough version of "Trip Through Your Wires" on Irish tv show "TV Gaga" on 1/30/86. Womanfish has never been officially released and Trip Through Your Wires eventually saw release in finished form on the "Joshua Tree" album in 1987.

Edge: "Hey Bono, could we add a few more lyrics besides 'in this town'?" Bono: "yeah, sure, lets see what I can come up with" From the sky down indeed!

Years of drumming like that really took it’s toll on Larry

I recall seeing this show live on the night. Bono and Larry were interviewed before their performance. Bono was hammered.

Thank you for uploading the complete performance. Even though Bono is hammered it's still a good performance from my point of view.

It's not the complete performance. They played Knocking On Heaven's Door as an encore, and brought some punkish looking kid up from the audience to play guitar.

Had womanfish running though my head - was the first song I was able to get from the forthcoming Joshua Tree album. Of course this is the first time I see the performance. Thank you for uploading. I'd forgotten the Trip Through Your Wires early lyrics.

The Joshua Tree b-sides are epic. Rattle And Hum may not be their best album, but it totally captured American Music without sounding too much like anything other than U2. Much of the album sounded like The Joshua Tree anyway. Desire and Angel of Harlem were about the only real pop songs. Heartland and All I Want Is You are epic. I hope you don't have that disease where you only like the early albums of every artist...Too many people stuck in that "Back When So and So were good."

Anybody know where this was actually shot-recorded from show wise,,,? (Maybe done in Ireland itself, not sure),someone mentioned it was from Jan 86,,I first came across it later on that year i think(summertime possibly)or even 87,,,anyhow it was a sort of bootleg video cassette VHS not Betamax(mighty boosh 😂) mixed with lot's of other U2 clippet/snippets on it,,, which just blew me away as was already well into them then aged 15/16,,,, 🤔

Evans regards this performance as the low point of u2's career - personally I think the song Numb was 1000x worse.

Joshua tree is great but i didn't really care for that era where they like discovered american music and tried to make it. It reached it's worst peak during R&H. I THOUGHT i knew by name every single unreleased U2 song but i didnt know this one (Womanfish). I see why it was never released. Not very good. In fact their unreleased and b-sides from that era are usually not so great. As opposed to most of those from before. Also i find TTYW to be the only skippable song on JT.

Philistine fools like yourself should have no permission to comment on anything U2 or related to music for that matter.
