Edge sounding amazing as always - he really shines here - you really understand how perfect their two voices match up - Edge being a little higher than Bono for the perfect treble
I was there that night it was a dream come true! When he said it's been 40 yrs since Adam played it & asked Edge to sing... That was something special I about died.
U2: Could we please hear the Edge sing other songs as he does this one? He often backs Bono but obviously, he is great as the main singer in many cases.
Its a shame i loved these guys up until that F*cking POP album. Saw them a few more times after that.They were never the same band after that shipwreck of an album.
Pop is one of their most, if not most, lyrically dense albums, and we should BE so lucky that most bands of their caliber would experiment successfully with other soundscapes.
POP to me was their last great album. Since 1986 I have seen multiple shows of each tour, after PopMart, I have pretty much seen just one show per tour.
Really loved POP. The problems came to me with "elevation". Song that still haunts their setlists. Even in the albums "songs of..." there are great songs that are killed on the altar of that "mole diggin a hole".
