Ren learned to play guitar by watching artists on youtube, and his health has kept him from touring, as he's been in Canada having constant treatments. You need to expose your guests to, maybe three songs, showcasing very different styles of his talent. Th3re is a documentary out there di Ving into many others 2ith similar health problems as Ren. Rocko was nice to sit through and fully listen to the Rap songs even though it wasn't what he enjoyed. Very thoughtful about the message. Back on 74/Message in a Bottle retake would be good. Back on 74 is by Jungle and more EDM; but, not in the retake and took 10 days from inception to filming a one take. The tales trilogy, 13 plus minute one, may seem a little long; but, a guitar enthusiast might really enjoy what Ren does on the songs.
As for the world-wide tours, not a possibility at this time. Troubles is about Ren's health journey which is still ongoing. He is doing one show definitely in July in England at the Secret Garden Party and hopefully more if he can work out with his health. Most likely, he will have it filmed as he usually does. It takes even more to do music the way Ren has had to do given his limitations with touring and promotion. Ren is a wonder and a treasure.

This was very strange! Does your guest think Ren is only just starting out? He's been performing on stage and busking since he was 18years old. During the last 13 years ill with lyme disease He's been too ill to tour - I'm sure you've been given these details by his fans before. Your guest seemed to think he's only done a couple of songs about himself when there are any amount about other subjects. And no he isn't classically trained on any instruments and he's just listened to him performing live. Also he's independent so he's not going to be 'told' to get out there on tour till he's well enough - if ever
If you & Rocko have a problem enjoying straight rap, then you should both react to Ren's latest "Retake" (RETAKE is Ren's term for the reimagination of a known songs musical arrangement & in some cases, new lyrics are added as well). Why? The dude clearly has insight into music and an an ability to separate what he likes and somone being talented. Not just that but the thoughtfullnes to adjust his first opinion on a song based on it being performed in a different way. Basically your upset because he hasn't kissed Rens ass. These are the type of people you need round you to become better, honest, fair and not afraid to ruffle a feather of two.

He is busy getting treatment right now. And he is about to release another album. Also you have to think about it a tour would probably be pretty grueling on him and definitely was not possible before. I think that’s why he and Sony parted ways. I’m sure it can be done but would definitely need to keep his health in mind.
I enjoyed listening to the philosophy of Rocko, but I don't think you are doing justice to Ren given that Rocko is not a rap fan and really need to introduce him to Ren and The Big Push. For a start I would suggest "The Big Push - Wade in the water / Nina Simone / Trouble so hard" as a start. I’d be interested to see his opinion on Jenny and screech. So the first time I watched your guest this is all my second time on the channel. I kind of thought to myself that it was a little bit dismissive of Ren and his talent for someone that seen so much but hiring is definitely an outside the box box unique Piece of art and just buy his hair you can tell that he’s a fan of 70s and 80s bands got the meatloaf look. He does have quite an extensive list of people that he’s done work for now. I have quite a few friends that are roadies and I wouldn’t say they work with I would say they work for, the artist. Now I live in Nashville so one of them is with Luke Bryan the other one is with Chris Stapleton cool dudes there kind of laid-back Coors light drink blue collar, hard-working guys so I respect that I mean if you want to give this guy what he wants, give them Black Sabbath by the big push with the rent mashing up with the rage against the machine. You can say you don’t like his music but nobody kid denied his talent and it seems when he’s rattling off his bands. OK find the Beatles Elvis yeah they’re all-time great in the end will be all-time great as well after he finishes his treatments in August I think he’ll tour the UK for several months and then come back to the United States to be by his doctor and probably release another album and tour here. I’m pretty sure that will be the top 20 billboard charts, and then we can have our friend back on see his opinion of the fake Welsh accent. The big push is awesome. I mean they literally have shut down streets where the cops have had to like break it up because there’s so many people that come to see them that will fly to Brighton to see them play! No classical training; learnt by ear, and watching. His illness does not allow for touring or concerts at this stage. He still has regular weekly, if not daily, medical treatment.
Good thoughts about mental health ,though Ren was suffering from undiagnosed medical condition,Lyme disease, and the emotional stuff that arose from that. The advantage if rao is fitting so much story into a short space.
Ren learned how to play guitar watching slowed down Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante videos. Little to no training. Ren did no touring and no life shows while he was getting treatment in Canada while watching Hi Ren explode and getting a number one album primarily from his fan base through RU-vid. I personally bought 11 copies in one form or another and I don’t like rap either.. 😂
Starting to lose faith in your channel. You must curate his work to reflect his musical arc and the obvious interests of your guests. You wouldn't give steak to a vegetarian. Start with Hi Ren as is resonates with more people. 🕊️
