I was playing at a wedding about 20 years ago my dad was in the band too and he went to get a drink at the bar ... during the break and he came back to me and says I was just talking to the edges dad he loved your version of still haven’t found which I’d done earlier ... I met him later on had a quick chat .. very nice man the edges dad
He is smart enough to realize U2 is such a powerhouse together he could never replicate their overall success alone. No break ups or drama, at least known to the public. They are a cohesive unit from day one until their last day as an active band.

They are doing the set list for which guitars and settings are saved for. Schoo was saving the presets and changing the presets to other songs. This is the Bradshaw Midi switching system it is the most known system as it uses midi ( light switching optical) to open the gates for audio signals.
could the tone be a little thin and sharp because the stadium/arena isn't filled with 20/30k meatbags that absorb higher frequencies? Maybe Joe Oherlihy sets the levels so that the tone is right for the show and not to appease the Utube experts watching a cell phone recording.
Edge’s live tone is always pretty “thin” because he cuts the bass and boosts the mids and high frequencies. In a live context, the goal is to be heard, not necessarily to have perfect tone.
@@rextillerson9117 Yeah, I saw the Joshua Tree tour in San Diego a few years back, and holy crap it was all treble. Sounded pretty bad to be honest, and they also played a bit sloppy. Been a U2 fan since the late 80's when I first heard them, but was kind of disappointed. Ah well.
The reason why The Edge sounds different these days has nothing to do with his new equipment. It's all about tunning his guitars full step down, D instead of E, even in C# (New years day), because Bono's vocal range changed (sucked) a lot since 80'. No highs and no lows at all.

It'll definitely be treble-high without bodies in the stadium. Regardless, I have to assume he and everyone else are listening through IEM's anyway without a ton of concern about how front-of-house sounds. His rig is so complicated, I'm surprised there's not any youtube where shows are a complete disaster.
The problem is his signature Fender rig which is junk. I’ve seen the band a bunch of times. It’s the worst sounding rig he has ever used. It’s very noticeable “One” . He can fix the problem in 2 seconds. Just needs to have Dallas roll out the vintage VOX AC 30’s
