This sounds and looks so great I can nearly imagine I got to hear it live in Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Abandoned too soon. Love this! Thanks again, Mekvox!
I don´t get why some people dislike No Line On The Horizon... most of the songs are epic!! Wish they had played this in Chile... it would have been awesome...
I gotta admit that I listened to NLOTH a few times when it first came out. I thought it was ok. But I haven’t listened back to much of it since until about a year and a half ago. And I can’t believe how much more I like that album now. It’s like my tastes have completely changed. That album(to me) is the closest thing they’ve done since Pop in terms of taking artistic risks. So in a weird way, NLOTH and Pop are probably my two favorite albums of theirs since Achtung Baby.
yes they produce real growers thats a mark of their skill. same for their last 2 albums. trust me. esp. if you listen to good quality cover versions. bono's voice undersells it these days
@natmanprime4295 Agreed. Although I will say I like Innocence a *lot* more than Experience. I have a few theories.. One is I think they allowed themselves to get sucked into the politics in 2016/2017 and forced an album to incorporate themes rather than allow the art to flow naturally. Or perhaps its related to what you mentioned about Bono‘s voice. With Innocence it was still really good. His vocal for Every Breaking Wave on a 2014 Grammy or MTV awards show was arguably the best vocal I’ve ever heard from him. I remember watching it and my jaw dropped because I didn’t think he still had that in him. Then by the time I saw him in Seattle in 2017, his voice just fell off a cliff. Some of the Sphere videos were rough. Still don’t know how it fell that far that quickly.
